Growing up my dad worked all the time and us three kids and my mom were always at home without him. After my parents divorce I went with my dad and now my dad has learned thru his mistakes and many trials what being a dad is. I love him very much even though I do not act like it sometimes. So to all the dads out there take this advice, do not work all the time cause your family realy wants you to spend time with them to have a relationship so work when you need to and spend as much time as you can with your children being their dad and growing your relationship with them so they can grow up to be courageous.

I'm greatly amazed of how God can use us in simple ways that have huge affect in the lives of others.. PTL

Be strong! there is an enemy, and losing a child was the hardest way he could attack you. Dying young just means that the Devil feared you and didn't want you on his playground (the earth) so rejoice! God is in control!

the song is full of too much doubt for someone who doesnt believe to start believing

"We can be the generation, that finally breaks the chains" what chains?, every person gets a choice. "We love our wives and children, and refuse to let them fall". God gave us a choice and if falling is what happens to us, it's probably because they doubt God, but everyone will get a chance to understand... so refusing them to fall is like saying, you don't get a choice, and when you cast doubt upon them for falling, it is more you in the wrong than them, because they need to see the good, and doubt is all they see....even if you don't say it, if you feel it, chances are..they can feel your negativity...and being sad for someone is like saying that the bad will beat the good...otherwise you wouldn't worry about. "We were made to be courageous, make us courageous" If we were made to be courageous we would be, but God wanted to give us a choice, so you don't have to be... This song said the word "I" more than any other word, stop using that term.....think about the person next to you, if you're saved, YOUR SAVED...so stop worrying if you are courageous enough.. because that doesn't matter, what matters is you are saved...God can handle everything else with your life...now help these other people get there too...but not by telling them they are wrong, because just like you, if someone shoves something in your face, they are going to say screw them and forget about it.....answer their questions...its easy if you think.

How wonderful! Yes, men, you were indeed, made to be courageous.

Don't forget ... even free concerts cost money to put on ... Christian musicians have a ministry and the money paid for concerts generally goes to pay expenses and support that ministry. Instead of seeing it as a cost ... maybe look at it as a donation over and above your tythe. How many more thousand people have been saved because of Christian music ... I would pay for my kids (and me!) to see Casting Crowns or any other Christian music over mainstream rubbish with soul destroying lyrics offering no hope anyday! I know what you're saying ... maybe we need to dg deeper to make it free for those that really need it? Just a thought. God bless.

I will be praying for your family during this loss. I heard Greg Laurie speak the other day on loss and he quoted a letter that he & his wife received during their loss and would like to share it with you: God does not offer explanations, but rather promises. Please continue to seek Him throughout your entire life...your reward will be meeting Christ and reuniting with your son and other children for eternity!

I am so sorry for your loss, I cant imagine. I hope this movie touches many young men and fathers to stand up and be all that God intended them to be.

Thanks for sharing that Vicky, I really appreciate it. I did not know that you were a single parent. How old are your two boys now? I typically do not put things like this on FB as I believe it is TMI but this song just spoke to me and watching the trailer of the movie, just made me do it...:) I probably will be taking it off shortly, just had to vent. Love the song but probably should get rid of comment...;)

Sorry, my fingers are click happy and I didn't finish my thought but it is a very tough job to raise kids. I was a single parent as well although my boys knew their dads so that makes a little bit of difference although my younger sons dad died when my son was only 7.

Awww Vicky thanks! It is a tough job sometimes but I love my son with all my heart and soul.
