My Dear Sheryl, With a knot in my throat and tears streaming down my face, I pray for the warrior mother you are to your children today! I understand where you stand. At 39 yrs old, I held my husband of 12 years in my arms as he died from Brain Cancer. He was survived by our three young children who were 9,7 and 3 at the time.Five years later I can look back and see my prayers answered in men in our church who stepped up to help Father these three beautiful children. I tried to be the Father they so desperately needed, but I could not do so. God created an atmosphere for them in friends and uncles to help. The void will always remain in their hearts as they talk and miss David everyday. Loosing a child could only be that much more traumatic. Your faith is strong even in these terrible challenging times. God sees all and knows what he is doing, even if you do not see that now. Hold on to God with all you have and he will continue to carry you, your son and daughter! David was a courages example for our children and they are strong in life, their faith and love of the Lord to this day.All my prayers, love and support to you. Your sister in Christ, Gina Mahoney

Cannot wait to see the movie. We as Christians need to have that courageousness in every aspect of our lives, especially to change our sphere of influence--at home, at work, at play...everywhere we go. I can't wait to see the movie!

I have a wonderful daughter but like every child she can be difficult. I work so hard everyday to be a good example and treat her with the utmost love and tenderness. Every father has a responsibility to lead their child (children) to be a shining example to others. When Sophia tells me I am the best daddy in the world I am so humbled. I am not the the best dad by any means but I certainly strive to be. All we can do as parents is make sure we prepare our children for the future. Whether you feel their career, their salvation, their personna, etc. are the most important things it is essential that we give our kids the best opportunity to excel in whatever it is they pursue.

So sorryfor your loss, be steadfast in the Lord.

My life as a Christian really took off during an outdoor teen worship night at my church, but Casting Crowns is still really encouraging!

AWESOME video for what's going to be an AWESOME movie! To all the father's out there, be involved in your children's life. My father wasn't and to this day we struggle to have some kind of relationship. It's just not enough to work and keep a roof over their head, clothed and fed. I wanted his love and his time. Children equate time as love and my father just didn't have the time for me, but I know he loves me as best he can. For all the disappointments my earthly father has given me, I have NEVER been disappointed by my Heavenly Father! Thank you Casting Crowns!

My husband was a police officer, but his career was abruptly cut short. He showed great courage on the job, but even greater courage as he fought back from severe injuries sustained in the line of duty. Being forced to retire at an early age and not able to work and provide for his family for 6 years took great courage and persistance. He is now very successful in his next career and continues to show great courage as he works through disabilities and severe pain. In a few short weeks, he will walk our daughter down the isle, and I am SO thankful that he is here to do that for her! Ladd is my hero, and his story is now available via a book entitled Dependence Day through CrossBooks. God bless all of those courageous fathers, especially those who serve and protect their families and the families of others in their communities.
