As prophesied, as time continues, like osmosis, the faith of believers will continue to wax colder with faith rapidly becoming extinct. Philosophical meanderings, naturally acquired wisdom and hope will not substitute for the power of the indwelling Spirit of God-which IS the key to ALL physical, emotional and mental healings; therefore, the status quo will continue with little intervention on the part of God as man has turned 99% to our "Doctors" and "nature." The laymen will always be susceptible to a spiritual movement and obedience to Almighty God-unfortunately, by the time the "Ministers" have completed their formal theological training (brain-washing?), at the seminaries, little or no real faith exists-leaving a form of Godliness but denying the power thereof!

Certainly the gift is still for today, although there is widespread abuse by so many Preachers who have resorted to acquire all sorts of power to perform the miracle of healing even when the grace is lacking.

I have been blessed to witness God's healing... he lives and knows us today just as in the days of old...he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to restore us to him and he wants us to call on him in our time of need...thank you God.

I have prayed for many people. I am handicapped and house bound with 3 fatal illnesses, heart, kidney, and diabetes. I have asked God for healing. And I feel peace, and patience, and understanding, and obedience. and comfort. and a closeness to God. so, not being able to go out and run around I pray off and on all day for as many people I can think of. There were two men with lung cancer. Fast moving & unopratable. I prayed for both. On was healed and the other died. God's will. I believes God heals people if that is right for them. For others He says " be still and know that I am God".

While praying for healing of the sick, a lot of good and true things happen as well. Praise God!

Russell Moore, Dean of the School of Theology, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary asks why churches are not following what James says in ch. 5 about laying hands on the sick and annointing them with oil...I'm wondering the SAME!
