I believe that God gives us what we need, whatever condition we are born with. We see ourselves as the so-called normal because we are in human terms perfectly normal (all ten fingers, toes, eyesight, hearing). But if we could only look through the eyes of God we would see those who are supposedly less than perfect are actually the way that they are meant to be--lacking sight, hearing or other abilities. I believe that God sees beyond human imperfection to the soul of the being and in His Eyes we are what he meant to make. Through affliction of one kind or another the soul is truly perfected, for they say that the purest gold is made from the hottest fires for those that have suffered for His sake are closer to His Heart.
