I enjoyed them on brits got talent, but they shouldve had this performance somewhere else other than a church.God blessed w/ a wonderful talent, hope they use it for His Glory not theirs.

Magdolna...Would you also have condemned the lame beggar in the temple for jumping around and dancing and leaping in the temple because God healed him? Would you have also condemned the woman caught in adultery? We should be encouraging talent like this and make efforts to keep them in church...not drive then away with our judgmental spirits.. Blessings

~ I was also trying to make the point that they were singing the SONG, not performing the Opera! so the words of the song should be what's listened to not the whole opera performance that the song in. Also, God has a wonderful way of taking something that was not good or doesn't glorify Him & use it for His glory! A wonderful example is of Saul/Paul or each & every single Christian who was ever saved for that matter! :) we need to start practicing what we preach & living what we teach! God bless!

I think it was very beautifully done! their voices are wonderful together, & are truly God given gifts! All these negative comments are truly distrurbing though. Why is it that when God blesses us with a beautiful gift there are always those that will allow satan to intervene & make his attempts to destroy it? WE are the temple, the church-not the building. And as I believe someone else mentioned also, that the Book of Solomon could be considered inappropriate as well, if taken out of context. As far as the song being from the Phantom of the Opera, yes, but the performed the SONG"All I ask of You" whose words are quite beautiful & appropriate& glorifying to God, not only because it relays a message of how He feels towards us, or because these two are sharing the gift He gave them with others to take joy in & appreciate His work, but also because He IS Love meets people where they are. And you don't know if there was someone sitting in that church that day that this song was purposed by God to be sung by these two on this day for the sole purpose of meeting them right where they were in order to save their soul. we are not to judge, I don't understand what is so hard for so many people to grasp about this! Let he who is without sin be the first to cast their stone. I'm beginning to feel as though I'm reading the modern day comments of the Biblical day pharisees! As for me & mine, we give thanks to God! This was truly a blessing! <3

These moments before prayer time is so insperational, God has led me through a lot and all for a better growth and dedication. I am so thatnkful, I can not sing but is my heart. Thank you FATHER GOD and Savior as on the journey we go one and then on to home through Grace and Mercy.

Any song that beautiful should be sung in church. The Lord would be proud.

For all who don't realize it, Jesus was not a christian. He did not practice any religion. Secondly, God expresses himself through us. It is our duty, as with these two young people, to develop our talents so that God can use us to His pleasure. Therefore, this building is as appropriate a place as any to glorify God. Also, the word house, quoted in one of the comments above, is allegorical. The house is you ...

...and I pray that they grow into maturity to learn to choose songs to sing (and not just any song) over the ones that do not glorify God... that they may use their talents to redeem music for the Lord's glory! PTL!!! :D

yup, every performance should not be limited to a display of talent but that the content of every presentation should be about God and His attributes that He may be lifted, magnified and glorified; after all that's the very core of our worship: to give God His very worth... God bless you! :D

I dont think there is anything wrong with people enjoying a God-given gift of music in church providing it is not inappropriate...God gave us the example in His word where He explained the Sabbath was made for man to enjoy.

Sharing ones God given voice can honor God.Although we are in the world doesn't mean we have to be in the world, but we can touch the world with the help of God in a song, whatever the level we're on, or anyone else for that matter. Isn't that what it's all about? Touching the hearts of others in the hope they will want more.

Michelle Slade It's not for you or anyone else to judge let alone claim to know the truths of the universe better than anyone else. Whoever is in charge of that church allowed it and probably enjoyed the fees they charged to rent the space. Take it up with them. The rest of us are here to learn about Jonathan and Charlotte, not to get a judgment or sermon from religious zealots.

Wonderful! And "Love me is all I ask of you" is what God is saying to us. Let's not get hung up about the origin of the song.

The sound at the Church was probably fine. It just the cheap mic on a camcorder. I actually hooked a camcorder right into a mixiing board to elimante the echo but still got it because the speakers were behind the mics.

So are we saying we could sing any love song in church? Billy Joel's "She's Always A Woman to Me" has inspiring words. John Denver, Michael Bolton and a lot other artist have good love songs, does that allow us to sing it in church? Discernment from the leadership i guess would be appropriate.
