I experienced the same with my Domestic Helper's grandchild. I went home with a headache and heard screaming. Looked out the window and saw a lifeless little girl that Vicky had taken out of the pool and then fainted. I gave her CPR even though I had only read about it. People from the Beach ran up to help but I carried on until she opened her eyes and brought up some water etc. We rushed her to Dr. The Medics would have arrived too late. She has now just passed her Matric. Thank you God for your Mercy.

A great testimony of faith in action... the parents and rescuers refused to accept the inevitable and did what it takes to save this young life... never give up! I experienced the same heart rending moment when I fished the cold lifeless body of my 18 month grandson out of the pool.... after 30 minutes of CPR administered by my daughter and I the medics finally arrived and managed to stabilize him and rush him to ICU where he remained in a coma for 9 days. At times like this we call on God and the temptation to bargain with Him arises, but what can we offer Him, all we can do is cast ourselves on His mercy and grace. When he woke hope he recognized his mom and we realized he was back and whole. I share in the joy and gratitude that these parents and their community who prayed, have for God and the rescuers.

This is amazing to see and read about. Tim Minge, the assistant pastor in the video, is the son of the senior pastor, Pastor Terry Minge. My Grandfather was the pastor in this church before Bro. Minge, and I was just at one of their Sunday Night activities about 6 weeks ago. It's great to see a church stay with GOD through the years rather than straying from His will and plan for the New Testament Church. Praise God for the gift of prayer!

It's interesting that CPR is a relatively new technique, think how many lives were lost before the technique was developed.

Dale's parents have said during this whole time that they wanted God's will to be done. His dad spoke at our church tonight and said that they've trusted God the whole time, and even if Dale was taken from them, they were grateful for at least the chance to say goodbye. He knelt at his son's bed and gave him to God as Abraham did. Their trust in God, no matter the outcome, is really an amazing part of this story.

@Mike: How does having say a child suffer and die constitute "what's best for us"? Would you tell this to someone who has just recently lost a loved one in an untimely way? I hope not.
