I understand your point. I have had some of the same difficulties.

My testimony is similar with Lynn's An only child with a domineering Mother and quiet father. I know they loved me but I did not feel loved. School, doctor and dentist phobic I was not socially mature until my 30's and even then I just began to grow. I now have a relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit guides me through life and its trials at 70. This anointed song immulates to Who we are to answer and please. Thanks for the reminder.

I want to say thank you so much and God bless all of you precious people for your loving comments to me. I am stunned by how many of you have responded to me like this. I merely wanted to give some of my testimony in the hopes of encouraging someone who has been through the fire...especially those of you who, like me, are still waiting for your miracles. I never dreamed that I would be so blessed. Like the saying goes, "We can't out-give God".

after what he and his family have been through, one cannot help but admire his amazing attitude and love for the Father.

saw him in concert a few years ago @ Women of Faith! He is so inspirational!

The first time I heard this song I cried because it made me realize that God is the first and foremost One that I should be trying to please because He made me. Life gets so confusing and complicated with all the small stuff AND big stuff, but if I do everything I do to the glory of the one who made me, and give Him praise for all the small stuff AND all the big stuff, then He will bless me in ways I cannot imagine!

Lola, Yes...the Bible says we are to love others as we love, we MUST learn to love our own self, or we can't truly love others.

"I WANT TO DO", that's the attitude most professing christians have. They make themselves sovereign over God instead of God being sovereign over man. About as bad as man thinking he saves himself and not realizing he is chosen......

This made my day..I sent it to my FB & on to friends that I know would bring a smile to them & make us think abut honoring Our Lord for "He" has given to us..

Yes I see some (very little) good in it, but can't you see it gives an excuse for us to live mediocre? It says; "Well as long as I take God with me in all I WANT TO DO, then that's all I can do. This is American christianity. We are decieved. Our lives are no longer our own. We were bought with a price! We were sent here to change the world, not to conform to it. Jesus didn't live like this. If we say we are His, then why would we live like this? God speaks to the church in Revelation. 14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans[f] write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,[g] I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
