Thank you Louie for allowing our God to use You and theses messages to lift up and encourage those who are hurting in ways we may not know, but our God knows all about all of them. Thank you God for sharing your message of love, in such marvalous way!
I am amazed at the comments about how he is dressed. Were you so distracted by how he looked to not hear his message. I have a good friend who wasn't brought up in church and thinks she can't go to church because she has no dress clothes. Different people have different styles. I find churches that are more casual with their attire are better suited to me. Not everyone is comfortable with a preacher in $100 suit shirts with gold cuff links.
Regarding Lous his clothes, there are few less less faithful than Lou Giglio. For some reason many people are uncomfortable, or just not completely at ease when they are around someone dressed in a suit. It implies authority to many, or maybe Stuffed Shirt would be a better description. How many times have I heard people, especially teenagers, say " I don't have anything to wear to church" and whether it's an excuse or the truth, the fact is it really doesn't matter what you are wearing, just worship as you are. Lou has an incredible Ministry to Kids, High School and College, and he dresses just as they do, Google Passion 2012. As crazy as it is, from a psychological standpoint, kids feel as if he is one of them or vice versa, which removes the inferiority complex of not measuring up. He tries to remove all distractions from his presenting the message of Jesus Christ which he so obediently does day after day trying to reach the hearts of our most prized possessions, our children. Press on Lou Giglio, may the Lord continue to use you to reach others for his kingdom.
Ohh, How I miss Passion 2012. :)
A great and wonderful message! But what is this current "fad" with pastors about dressing down to the lowest common denominator? Whatever happened to presenting our best to the LORD? It seems strange watching professionals in suits listening to a pastor dressed like a hippie. Those professionals wouldn't think of going to work dressed in that attire. I know the clothes don't make the person, but why shouldn't we offer God more respect than those professionals offer their customers?
I lift my hands, in total awe, to my one and only Heavenly Father!
Oh truly what a Saviour!!!
Awesome God...wooow
WOW
What a wonderful reminder of how indescribably awesome our God is!
Awesome! What a pick me up!
Oh I just love this! I saw him do this at Colorado Springs last year and it was the greatest night of worship I had ever been a part of!
