Christianity.com: What is a balanced way to look at the end times?-Mark Dever

Jesus Christ was very clear: One day he will return - and no one knows when. God's Word assures us of the Second Coming and commands us to know the signs of the times, to remain watchful, and to always be ready for Christ's return - whenever it may be.

Brother, we do not know the day or the hour, but Jesus has not left us without any clues about the time. All over the Bible one sees pointers and these days not one is just localized but almost all point to the soon/imminent return for His own, followed by the culmination of the Day of the Lord. Maranatha!

"Hit LIKE if you are thankful for your Heavenly Father!" Talk about deceptive manipulation!

Mark Dever is deluded. Jesus was supposed to return in the first century: http://www.preterism.info

It is just as well that Jesus never passed on to any of His followers the specific time of His Second Coming as Conquering King. He made two strong points about this: 1. It is none of the business of His followers to know the time; 2. Even He does not know the exact time of His Second Coming; only The Father and, by inference of the closeness of The Father and The Holy Spirit in knowing and carrying out plans effectively and in a timely manner, The Holy Spirit know the exact time. But we have been told in no uncertain terms the conditions in the world leading up to His Second Coming, mainly in the Old Testament book of Daniel and the New Testament book of Revelation, though the Old Testament prophets' books and the New Testament books of the Gospel accounts and some books by Paul also describe earthly conditions at that time. Conditions will go from bad to worst, not from bad to better. Discussion goes back and forth as to whether the universal Church will be on earth and suffer great tribulation at the hands of the followers of Satan, the Antichrist and the false prophet before we are raptured by our returning Savior and Lord, or whether the entire church will be raptured off of the earth before the Antichrist begins his reign and God finally brings devastating judgement upon Satan's government system led by the Antichrist. I have made careful study of end-times prophecies and it does not look good for faithful Jews and Christians before we are all raptured by the Lord Jesus. There does seem to be one physical act that needs to be carried out. The Jerusalem Temple will have to be rebuilt and the Jewish Temple worship system will have to be reinstated, which the Antichrist will take over and use for his own Satanic purposes. Other than that, the fact remains settled in Heaven and on earth that God's faithful Jewish and Gentile followers will be raptured and not be left to total destruction at the hands of Satan and his rule through evil men. We are admonished to keep constant guard and to be faithful even if it leads to our physical deaths. If we do suffer martyrs' deaths before Jesus' Return, He will give us crowns of eternal life. Based on that promise, we should be prepared to do no less.

For believers, the Endtime prophecies romanticize our world and our lives and provide truly great sense of anticipation and excitement with the seriousness fit for all the history and the reality in our world. No matter what happens. The Jews should take comfort in Jesus and Muslims should acknowledge who He really is.

Yes, amen. The prophecies of the Endtime recorded in the Bible really are making a believer's life exciting and purposeful every minute. We don't just wait for our death to meet with Jesus our Lord. He may come to us anytime. And the mention of tribulations also prevents believers from having false expectations on the human ability that things would get better by advancement of technology. Believers don't worship the Planet Earth yet are fully aware what a serious business this planet is carrying. God's people also read the history as a sequence with meaning and a culminating goal. All the world data constantly get processed and analyzed in order to digest the God-given missions and mysteries by purposeful Christians. The Bible-literate Christians ended up becoming godly, wise and far more helpful and realistic than any others on earth because of the Endtime prophecies.

You do know. It's in his word, you are to know, because it's in his word. He shall come as a thief but to his children he will not, for he has told us.... I love study so here I'll share a very small piece of it with you. YouTube " bohemian grove p14 " this should lead you through key words to investigate on your own.. Their is a time allocated for these things and they are locked in... Jesus isn't trying to make up his mind... He has all ownership of all things and the father has ordained every action to take place.... It's all locked in.
