back in grade school....way back, I found out that you just had to memorize certain spellings because a lot of the pronunciations, spelling and grammer rules didn't make any sense. Then moving to Europe I realized that it was because a lot of the countries emerged from each other hundreds of years ago and the same words were used by more languages. Take for instance knee, in English you don't pronounce the k, in German & Dutch it's written knie and the k is pronounced =knee. Take the word Colonel, how do you pronounce it, how do you spell it? In Germany Colonel is spelled the way it sounds Colonel, in Dutch they spell it with a k but it still sounds the same. And there are hundreds of examples.

So it isn't that strange I don't understand English very well, it seems to be hard for you as well. To bad my Dutch isn't good either. Or something like that.

This is a funny video; however, the speaker's grammar is actually incorrect in two cases, both between 1:00 and 1:15. "I feel badly" is incorrect! The word _feel_ is a linking verb, not an action verb, in this case. If a person "feels badly," his sense of touch is poor. If a person is emotionally distraught, he "feels bad"--linking verb, predicate adjective. Also, the word _from_ should always follow _different_, not _than_. Thank you for an otherwise wonderfully clever video!

I'm with you. I especially hate it when people inexplicably double the word "is." Even announcers on the radio sometimes do it. Why?

AWESOME my friend, well done indeed!

You sound like me when I rant on a daily basis about this sort of stuff. Not to say I'm perfect at grammar myself, but I try my best. Very funny video. Well done!
