Gary Smalley Talks About His Experiences With Lust

Dear Messenger Gal, we live in a fallen world, yes? While all true believers are in the process of becoming more like Jesus, we won't be fully like Him until we die and go to Heaven, correct? So, in this life, we will stumble in sin, or else what is the purpose of I John 1:9? I greatly admire Gary Smalley for his transparency. Maybe you're really not aware, but most men struggle with lust. Every single day. For example, are you aware that 51% of evangelical PASTORS admit to having viewed online pornography last year? Or did you know that 72% of men view porn sites? Do you think that all of these are truly lost and without Christ? Or are they flawed, sinful, wicked men (myself included) for whom Jesus died to rescue? Maybe lust doesn't happen to be one of your personal struggles, but without a doubt, you have your own set of temptations and weaknesses. And with any of them, would you risk your reputation...would you risk rejection and personal criticism as Gary Smalley has? What he said was encouraging to me, and now I will study Galatians 5 for further help. What he said, I daresay, was edifying to the Body and has the possibility of preventing a multitude of sins for thousands of people who long to exercise their freedom in Christ Jesus through the application of His Word. And that is exactly what Dr. Smalley is recommending.

Not funny. Yourexample of men is discusting and a stumbling block to women. Gods Word says if you were saved you would not still be lusting like this, you make God out to be a liar, for HE says old things are passed away, all things become new.
