What scripture can I give my preacher and family that shows Gods mandates regarding homeschooling?

And the biggest question of all... Why don't more pastors support homeschooling when the children that are homeschooled right are, by far, the most promising and Godly children in our nation. It has to do with the money and the financial incentives built into our churches. I will leave it at that. But the fact that our Christian spiritual leaders in our communities will not get behind this is a travesty.

I will NOT render unto Caesar what are not his. I am a free man. They are my children. My choice. My responsibility. My prerogative.

you are wrong. the homeschoolers I know are better behaved than any public school kids & they are farther along in their education

Also, that verse about a pupil is not above his teacher. That sentence alone, and ideas like it, are what limit our species to evolve intellectually. The beauty of the human, and the human will, is that our children are SUPPOSED to outgrow us, to out-innovate us, and to perpetuate the knowledge we have gathered thus far, while simultaneously gaining new, and previously unknown knowledge.

Ryan Weston It may not be worlds better, but it absolutely has to be in some regard. My point is, based on the first 30-40 seconds of this video, this man makes it blaringly obvious that the ultimate goal in homeschooling, is to preserve the "faith" that gets instilled in kids when they are very young. The equivilant of wanting their children to believe in Santa Claus forever. Keeping them at home keeps them trapped, intellectually. It confines the knowledge they are able to receive to whatever the parent allows through their narrowest of filters.

Michael Daniels Is your premise based on the opinion that children are taught "how to behave and conduct themselves in a proper manner" better in a public school then they are in thier homes?

So much hypocrisy within this one speech my head is spinning. My favorite being "I am not a slave, I am a free man, my children are MINE. Of course they are, but they are also members of a community and need to learn to behave, and conduct themselves in proper manner. I'm not saying public schools provide this to the best of its potential anymore, but compared to homeschooling theres no comparison.
