Cerebral Palsy: Faith beyond the Physical

Sara, God IS love. (1John4:8,16) and is good, (Matthew 19:17, Mark 10:18.Luke 18:19) Jesus is the perfect representation of the Father, (John 12:45, John 14:9 whole chapter actually). Jesus went about doing good & healing all, ( Acts 10:38). You can't find anything in His Word that saysJesus puts sickness, disease or does bad things to make us better or learn or mature. He is not responsible for what happened to you. He loves you more than you or I can comprehend! Things happen, but bad things never come from God. We live in a fallen world, there is an enemy who hates God and he knows getting His people/children hurts Him. Also mistakes happen and people make choices that effect others. These are just some of the reasons for problems we face.John 10:10 is another great scripture that helps me figure out some basic principles. It says, The theif (Satan) comes to steal, kill and distroy: I (Jesus) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. So if it's good it's from God and bad comes from the devil. I hope this helps with perspective. God is love, He doesn't just feel love, Love is a Person, His nature. Just like I'm a girl, I can't separate me from being a girl. God bless you Sara abundantly! Leper’s Messiah Who to say a girl born with cerebral palsy (CP) can not ask God why she is born with this condition ( People would look at her legs and may laugh at her, but it is the grace of God to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. As the Messiah glorifies those who are weak and confounds those who are intellectually seduced by the world, it is the bible that answers these mystery questions of “Why God would give me CP, what did I do?” Not out of anger, but a curiosity into why God has done this to me? When we look into Luke 17 v. 11-19 we then can get a clear response to the amazing question that she asked for herself and me as well. “Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have pity on us!" When he saw them, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him -- and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well." How beautiful it is to see how a Leper can bypass the priests to get to Jesus and Cry out to his name for love, kindness, compassion, and everlasting life with peace! Love, Christ Seeker
