The bar that is established here isn't the measure of how a proposal is done - this would be difficult for the average joe to scale. The bar that is seen here is the bar of Christ already established: Husbands's, love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her. This is the bar for all husbands. Clearly, Emily's reaction not only to what is happening, but to the unexpected friends who were part of the day, reveal the sacrificial love required for Brad just to pull of this mighty event. She must certainly be a Godly woman, 'worth more than rubies'. Her life as a Proverbs 31 woman will undoubtedly flow as she and Brad honor one another as Christ calls them to do. Their life together will be a flow of God's righteous love and growth as one in Him. May God's sweetest blessings pour out abundantly in your life together, that the Lord might be magnified and others might be drawn to Him through His bond that makes you one.
