my guess is that he's being hand-reared for a zoo or rescue center, that means that a family will take in an animal, like tigers, lions, leopards, and other animals, and care for them around the clock. It is encouraged to have other pets so the animals can interact. These people would bottle feed it on the hour, then introduce it to meat, then introduce it to the outdoors, (usual in a type of enclosure) And then return them to the zoo around 6 months of age. ^.^ its something i've always wanted to do!

Can you not just enjoy the video without getting all humane society on us? I'm sure the owners have a plan but why should they ruin the moment with an explanation to the world. To the owner: Thanks for sharing!

That had been my first thought, too. But then I heard all the dogs barking in the background and thought (and I sincerely hope that I'm right!) that maybe this is a rescue shelter of some kind, and maybe it has been brought there, so that it can eventually be sent to a zoo or some other place.. I hope that I'm right. My daughter and I went on a school field trip to one such place (I don't believe it's still open- I think licensing got to be too expensive and they couldn't maintain their operation costs). They took in animals that had been removed from homes for neglect, or animals that were surrendered by former owners for various reasons, and animals that were injured and unable to survive without specialized care. The goal for most of those animals was to transition them to the point where they could be sent to zoos... So, I agree with you, and I sincerely hope that is the case with this tiger...

I agree with you Alice, more and more we read about wild animals "gone bad" in someone's home, where they never should have been in the first place. I think it's sickening that you can buy wild animals off the internet. It should be illegal to anyone except licensed, trained wildlife experts. That way neither the animal, nor the other creatures that they encounter, including humans, will have to suffer in the long run.

Sure, it's adorable and funny, but what I really want to know is why this Bengal tiger cub is living in someone's home. What is going to happen when he's too big to handle? He'll end up chained in a cage in a public market, or in some horrible circus or zoo. I just hope there's a good reason for this, like this is an orphan cub and they have him in a very short-term foster home until he's old enough/strong enough to live with other rescued tigers at a sanctuary. If he stays in this type of domestic situation for much longer, this cat will be doomed to always need to rely on humans for survival. That is a recipe for disaster, either for the cat or the humans, but probably both. Wild creatures should remain in the wild, and when that isn't possible, they should be sent to live with their own kind ASAP. I'm really afraid for this precious little guy. :(
