This is beautiful. They sound like the "Celtic Women". Never thought anyone could possibly sing like that. and I am really amazed. I hope they will continue with their awesome talent.

Wow. After reading these comments I guess I will not be posting my N.A. flute playing "skills". I am not a music teacher or student. I just love praise music, and I enjoy listening to variations. Music becomes personal to me when I allow it to speak to my spirit-- not just my eyes or ears. I give "koodo's" to the girls for their effort, and admit I did have some minor issues with the deliverance, but enjoyed it anyway.

To all of you who have felt the pain of loss I know it to. This song got me and my family through a very dark year. We played it at our daughters memorial service and later my youngest daughter and I preformed it for our church. She played the guitar and I sang. It has been a healing balm for us. The Lord has truely anointed Casting Crowns. Great Job girls. Keep up the good work.

Only listening to the Video, it sounds way too fast and not in a spirit of Worship what the song is intended for. I agree with Rosa Valles below. When I 1st heard Mark Hall (Casting Crown's lead singer) testify of this song, he mentioned how this song was written of a woman he knew that had several miscarriages and how she continued to Praise God although she was going through Agony. When my friend's dad had passed away and he was contemplating God's love in his life, this same Casting Crown song came on and he knew it was from the Lord. So, yes, these girls were wonderful in singing to the Lord but I felt it was without the Anointing. There should have been Someone to have directed them in this type of Worship song. However, Praise be to God if the Spirit will still move on some. Keep up the good work girls, your Faith & practice as God will surely Bless you. ><> ><> ><>.

Beautiful job, ladies. To the critics waaa waaa, seek the Lord yourself for comfort. Sometimes we are too smart for our good. Do we know the story behind these ladies?

Worship...Our response to what we hold dear to our hearts. Whether its sped up, slowed down, remixed, whatever... this is their response to God, their worship to God. Who are we to take this time to criticize and take away from that praise because its not up to our own personal standards. Some of these comments are petty. Who are we to say that their "excessive movement" takes away from the song and makes it about them or because they sped up the song they don't understand what the song means. I look at my diverse congregation at church on Sundays. Some raise their hands, some clap, some just stand there singing, some close their eyes, some sway, and some literally jam out to the song at the same beat whether is a fast or slow song. I ask you, in my congregation who is worshiping God the right way? The Bible says that David danced and sang in worship to God. Is that the only way, No, that was just his response to the one he held dear to his heart, God. Many identify with the author and his lyrics in the lost or pain of a loved one...for others the lyrics to this song are a declaration symbolizing the conquering of a trial in their lives and choosing to praise God through it. To say that this song only has one meaning implies that its only for those who've lost a loved one. I have a heard time believing that, that was the authors intent. Truth about music is that it can be interpreted in many ways and touches people differently. This is their worship their response to God. I'll be honest, when I first saw this video my mind started to focus on the imperfections but then I started to cry. Here are 15 young ladies choosing to boldly worship God! In a culture where our youth are putting their relationships with Christ on the back burner or avoiding God altogether, I can't help rejoice in their passion and praise. Don't get me wrong, there is a time and place for the Biblical constructive criticism, but this is not the forum.

These girls are a blessing to me--my daughter has been with this group since her freshman year, and she's a senior now. They encourage and uplift each other and are a part of this group only if their heart is for the Lord. Soo....positive or negative comments don't really matter because THEY KNOW WHAT DOES MATTER--what's on the inside and a personal relationship with Jesus. You can find out more about this group at their website jmuintohymn.webs.com. I am delighted that this group will be leading worship at our church in 2 weeks and couldn't be a prouder mom! JMU rocks and so do these awesome ladies!

Rosa V, I am really glad you got to hear the singer's testimony. I know I have been at a few concerts where hearing the group tell the story behind the song made all the difference. *** But since you are someone who has experience with music, and the way it is performed, I think you should give them a little more "benefit of the doubt." #1 this looks like (perhaps) a talent show or spring review - they may have had a 4 minute limit. Get ONSTAGE, perform, and GET OFFSTAGE in 4 minutes. That may be the entire reason they sounded too fast. Their performance was 3:45. That's my experience. #2 I really think it wasn't much faster than Casting Crowns' original. My greatest strength in music in rhythm, (I don't carry a tune so well, but I SURE can tell you when you're on or off the beat) and I kept thinking, "It doesn't sound that fast to me." So I timed it for 30 seconds, because I really wondered about it. They perform 6 measures in 15 seconds. Casting Crowns' original does 6 measures in 16 seconds. Not that much difference. Which leads to: #3 I think that is SOUNDS faster to you because it's a higher pitch. I know pitch isn't exactly the right word. Key. Honestly, I think that's the long and short of it. It's really not much faster, it just sounds that way because it's higher,...in women's voices. Truly. About "dancing" and immodesty, which I think were both brought up by different commentors: Gee. I don't see any dancing. Not even close. What I see is that their director probably told them they could be free to just move a bit. They didn't have to stand still like a choir who looks like statues. We've all seen those. The girl to our left of the center microphone has a two-leg bounce thing going. Most of the girls have a 1 leg bounce. The girl to our right of the center microphone has NO game. I bet she is carrying them all with her voice. She is either NOT into performance, or she is just singing to God without regard to what she looks like. She is singing and sortof keeping rhythm. No style, per se. #4 Or.... all of what I said above (about them being SLIGHTLY faster than Casting Crowns) could be completely wrong. Maybe they didn't do the song in 3:45 because they had a 4 minute time limit. Maybe they did it that fast because being nervous (as you might be when you're 16-20 years old, as these performers look to be) makes you sing faster. Not right or wrong... It just does. Give people the benefit of the doubt.

I think its wonderful to see young people singing for God.I think it was beautiful. We live in a very critical world. we as Christians don't need to cast stones. We all interpret music differently. Its called artistic license. Imagine if they read what people commented. As for the movement, do you not remember in the Bible were David danced before the Lord? Thank you, young ladies for your inspiration :)

After reading the criticism, I think Carmen Carroll cums it up pretty well!

Too all those who see our comments as negative critics: assuming you all have children, would you not try to Advise them if you saw their work could use improvment? Or would you let them turn in an assignment half done or not done well? What's Wrong with ADVISE? If they take it, great. If not, then you will notice your child could use improvment on their character and, I'm hoping, you would want to advise them to be more mindful of such things, right? Even God criticed Cain and Abel's offering, is HE wrong to want the best for His children? Food for thought. But I'm done with the negativity, Unfollowing.

I am just out of hospital after very major surgery and I guess was just looking forward to this ministering to my heart It didn't happen sadly.. I am not being judgemental - just constructiive criticism. The girls are young but how will they learn if they are not informed I have been a teacher of Singing for over 30 years. Where there is no understanding of the lyrics, there is nothing.. God bless them all anyway.

The dresses are too tight and too short for mass presentation. Save the leg and curve show for your Husbands ladies, that is not a GODly way to be attired in public. To those who want to call me "legalistic" or some other thing, save your accusations/insults/self justifying, you can deceive yourselves about this issue but you cant deceive me. Show those ladies to a 13 year old healthy male who has not been desensitized by modern American culture and 10 to 1 odds he gets aroused. Those outfits are simply revealing too much, and they were worn precisely for that kind of appeal and we all know it. A lot of things that the devil has pushed to make "normal" in the last century or two are actually not only wrong, but would have been considered outrageous in any GOD fearing society in history. There are many very worldly habits in the modern apostasy riddled church, the way the females dress and behave is a clear barometer of the state of the men, the doctrine and the church as a whole.

Wow..so much criticism for these young ladies. Let's think....What else could they be doing? Drugs...having sex with their boyfriends...bullying someone less fortunate? No...they are singing praises to God in their way. They may not be professionals but they are being a positive influence for others! Give them a break.
