I must commend this girl for having the bravery to speak out. But being a child of a family of one man and woman, I must disagree. As I had to discover Christianity myself, what my parents told me didn't much leave a linger effect. For my father was a negative force in my life until the time I turned 16, and my mother gave the demonstration of what not to be as a wife, mother, and woman, God changed that and created a miracle in my life, but not before my family was almost destroyed by divorce. Marriage isn't respected anymore, because the definition of marriage now holds a legal meaning instead of a religious one. It's words on a piece of paper to a lot of people now. It's no help that divorce is legal, and that people are allowed to remarry and divorce as many times as they want because marriage is nada to them. As for gay marriage, I agree that society has made it hard for people to speak against it without sounding like hypocrites or overzealous religious types. I know a very nice gay couple that live across the street . They are one our families closest friends, and their son is like a little brother to me. I support gay marriage for the multitude of couples that have been together for 10 or more years, but I find it hard to support regular marriage with the divorce rate so high and without the consideration that it use to possess. God made one man and one woman for marriage, but this was before we all became sinners. Divorce is sin and gay marriage is sin but both are forgiven by the Savior. Say what you will against or for marriage or gay marriage or divorce or whatever you would like, but what kids my age and younger or older should remember that the Savior's love reaches all corners or the Globe. Although I am greatly aware that I will be called ignorant by a great deal of people, I hope that the good people on here do not try to argument with or prove me wrong. I just wished to express my point of view, even if it is limited and ignorant. Thank you

This girl has guts! Being only 14 years old it makes me glad to see other children being raised right!

back to taxes. who gets to claim head of household? Whose insurance is primary. if they separate and have kids, who's considered the mother and gets primary custody? Who pays alimony?

interesting how the liberal left would support gay marriage, since they also support increased taxes. but did they every stop to think about the tax implications on at the federal level, since "married" couple pay a lower tax rate. so how do they offset that? simple, increase taxes across the board for all citizens.

How do you answer a loaded question? I would choose silence too.

Very Well said Pam...I agree with you! The problem is most people who come out of the closet or whatever term you want to use...aren't born again. Of course they are going to be thinking the way they do about marriage, homosexuality & life & all good things, because they have carnal worldly thinking...they are Children of the World! They don't see or understand the true blessing of God's Promises. Their minds & hearts have to be changed...Let's Pray Christians!!

And finally, we know from the laws that they passed in the colonies, that became the states, exactly what the founders would have wanted. They supported the death penalty for the crime of sodomy, by hanging. Something your high-school history text books fail to tell you. They feared God, unlike this perverted and sick generation. Lesbianism, and Homosexuality was not tolerated.

But I shouldn't be surprised, given your support for gay marriage. All too common with the liberal brainwashing that the public schools indoctrinate kids with these days. God is going to punish this nation for its apostasy. We have fallen away, and will not return to Him.

Incorrect... of the 56 signers of the declaration of independence, 54 of them were Christians. Get your facts straight. http://www.adherents.com/gov/Founding_Fathers_Religion.html

Brian. Who ever told you that "everything within the bible is metaphorical" lied to you. Jesus the Christ, said he was God. He was a historical figure, he was publicly executed for claiming to be God, and he came back from the dead and was seen publicly by a crowd of over 500 people, and others over 40 days. And if you do not believe him, you will die in your sins. Unless he comes back before you die. In which case you have, as an agnostic, a serious problem.
