We want to be served by others but don't want to take the time to serve others. Jesus came to serve, so we should serve one another as well.

Unfortunately we live in a selfish world. Everyone is always thinking about themselves and putting themselves first instead of others. We should put others first and not ourselves. It is humbling to do so. Admittedly I have failed at this many times and I regret that.

Wow I was faced with the same thing in the supermarket and was too slow to help. I don't think it was selfish but too worried about what others thought of me eavesdropping and I didn't want the man with the family to reject me or insult me. Too worried about me.....

We live in a loveless society, no love for our elders or for the homeless individual, no compassion for the sick we are lost in our selves in such a way, that most of humanity do not feel the pain of the other brother or sister, we have have become robots like, but still there is a light shinning on our eyes, the light of Jesus, reminding us it could be you or me the next time around..life is a very precious gift,, to share in time of harvest with others.
