What I would really like to see is Christians stop accusing others of judging all the time. Disagreeing with a song choice made by a dad is not judging. Judging is turning your back on somone or taking away the love that Jesus told us to give everyone, based on the persons actions. Spending time with your kids is not necessarily being Godly. If I take my 3 children to the park and play with them the entire time while drinking a cooler full of beer, I am not exactly being a Godly dad. I am not seeing anyone being unloving in their posts about this dad. Some simply don't agree with the song choice. Now, I am not saying that this dad is a bad dad at all. From this video, we can assume he loves his kids and is a great dad. But, stop accusing people of being judgemental because they question the song choice. Also, let us not act like their isn't great Christan music out there. There is a lot of it from worship music to rap. Me and my 10 and 6 year old kids sing at the top of our lungs to all kinds great Christian music, one of our favorites right now being, Newsboys, "God's not dead". We also listen to seculiar music, but as a parent you find the music that has suitable lyrics. My daughter and I sing Taylor Swift songs all the time. lol In our house, we ask this question about the music we listen too. "If we were sitting here hanging out with Jesus right now would we be listen to "this" song?"

How to raise lukewarm children. Lord Jesus save this Generation. Shame on you GodTube. What happened to the Paul Washer video features?

They are having a great time together as dad and kids. And the song is actually quite good for Christians to study albeit probably not good for children to sing unless they know the meaning behind it. If you really read the lyrics, it's about sin, confessing it, a deep conviction, fear, the enemy, judgement, revelation, fighting - spiritual warfare and giving up. He totally has a Job moment in that song and it would be great if parents talked to their children about the meaning of songs - the emotion and motive behind them, and the lyrics ie the word Bismilah (..no, we will not let you go) actually is Arabic for In the name of God (I'm guessing their god Allah though). Interesting aye.

Actually, it's a song about a young man from poverty who has committed murder, only to realize that the single act has devalued his life...ruined what he could have been. He is acknowledging that murder is a sin. Not sure where ya'll get your info. That said, it is ear candy. "Bismillah" is the opening word in the Qu'ran (Koran) and literally means "In the name of Allah." "Scaramouch" according to the dictionary means "a stock character who appears as a boastful coward." "Beelzebub" is one of the many names given to "The Devil." Lyrics Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide. No escape from reality. Open your eyes. Look up to the skies and see. I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy. Because I'm easy come, easy go. A little high, little low. Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, to me. Mama, just killed a man. Put a gun against his head. Pulled my trigger, now he's dead. Mama, life had just begun. But now I've gone and thrown it all away. Mama, ooo Didn't mean to make you cry. If I'm not back again this time tomorrow. Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters. Too late, my time has come. Sends shivers down my spine. Body's aching all the time. Goodbye everybody - I've got to go. Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth. Mama, ooo - (anyway the wind blows). I don't want to die. I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all. I see a little silhouetto of a man. Scaramouch, scaramouch will you do the fandango. Thunderbolt and lightning - very very frightening me. Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo Figaro - magnifico. But I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me. He's just a poor boy from a poor family. Spare him his life from this monstrosity. Easy come easy go - will you let me go. Bismillah! No - we will not let you go - let him go. Bismillah! We will not let you go - let him go. Bismillah! We will not let you go - let me go. Will not let you go - let me go (never). Never let you go - let me go. Never let me go - ooo. No, no, no, no, no, no, no - Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go. Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me. for me for me So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye. So you think you can love me and leave me to die. Oh baby - can't do this to me baby. Just gotta get out - just gotta get right outta here. Ooh yeah, ooh yeah. Nothing really matters. Anyone can see. Nothing really matters - nothing really matters to me. Anyway the wind blows...

Never mind the song...how about a young child sitting in the front seat of a van (?) with an airbag aimed at her? In our state that is not even legal! (Or maybe the car is so old it has no airbags?) I sing too, with grandkids going to and from school. Just keep them safe!

Wished my Dad did this. All he did for me is curse at me and call me stupid then abuse me. Now that I am grown up I tried to witness to him and he did not want anything to do with God. He still hates God. Please pray for him.

I'm all for building quality relationships with your children, but how about teaching them that it's WRONG to throw up the devil horns?

Growing up in my family was always fun. My mother was a single mother back in the day when single mothers were looked down upon. I am the oldest of 5 and my father died when I was 7, youngest was 1. My mother always felt that music was the best thing for the heart and soul. Anytime we went somewhere in the car, we sang... she taught us some songs that some people hear might see as inappropriate, but we laughed and shared and those times were some of the best.. I think those that are criticizing the song have lost sight of the important part of this. The quality time with dad. Those kids are laughing and enjoying the time very much. There are too many kids today that don't have a father/mother that is willing to make them feel this important and have this kind of fun memory. Get your focus in the right place, stop judging and criticizing. Go out and start spreading this kind of interaction with kids.. It will be very important one day!

This video is hilarious! I'm not offended by it at all! Although this song goes back to about 1976, it's been revived (no) thanks to The Muppets' comedy version of it in 2009, which became a Top 40 hit in the UK. The song itself has actually evolved into a joke over the years thanks to Freddie Mercury's over-the-top overdubbed falsetto screams; notice the girls laugh at those parts. :)

What is this doing on Godtube? It is good that a father spends time with his kids... but what is more important... HOW he spends time with his kids... and what type of values he teaches them. Pretty simple. The Bible says..."Train your child in the way they should go and when they grow old they will not depart from it." And... the way they should go... is toward God... not Rock and Roll Secularism.. which will pull a growing soul off into all kinds of worldliness. Not good. Help draw them toward God and Jesus Christ. "Grow in Grace and the Knowledge of Jesus Christ." :)

I find this to be an absolutely Godly video. Reason: Christians get so caught up in little things that don't really matter and overlook the important, Godly things. In this case, people are focusing on the fact that this dad is singing a secular song that is viewed as "unacceptable" because of its lyrics, but is that the point of this video? NO! The point is that this dad is spending some really amazing quality time with his kids singing a very fun song. Also, this song could open up an opportunity for him to explain some things in this song to his kids and better prepare them for their future as Christians (if they are). Stop being so quick to judge and just accept the beauty of things in this corrupt world. JAMES 4:12

dumb song.. kinda reminds me of singing hymns when I was a kid: end line of the Doxology was "and grant us Thy peace"... when I was a kid, I thought everyone was singing, "and crown the Siamese."

I wish my boys could have only had a great Dad like this one! This Dad is a wonderful example to his children and should get an award for the best Dad of the year! I hope he reads this!

We are all sinners, and as we all know there are degrees of sin like there are degrees of love. Let God be the judge and be glad for the sake of the children they have a dad that is plugged into making fun memories and not judging how badly everybody else is driving. My father was a good man, but to be in a car driven by him was terrifying. His road rage gave me a lifetime of anxiety. This dad's choice of song is harmless compared to my dad's overwhelming and unwarranted rage.
