My first reaction to "ALL of US"? was that he wasn't just thinking of himself and I didn't hear "Hope these are good seats" I heard "Oh these are good seats" Funny Huh!

What we saw was a son who had saved up enough money to take his dad to the game. Our son in law had dreamed of seeing the Cowboys play since he was young. One year we were able to buy ticket for him and our daughter to go. A dad to three boys, a soldier, and husband, had tears in his eye when he got the tickets. David did not ask what seat as it was not important. But that did not mean the man was greedy by what he said. He was a lot older than our son in law was. Why take the reaction of a man who was so happy he probably did not even think about things. So he asked abut them all going. That is grandpa, dad and husband who was thinking of them. I am happy for the man. He got his dream so Jay just shut up and quit trying to take away the joy this man was feeling.

it only creates sadness when we are always looking at the thorns when there are beautiful roses that smell sweet and bring joy, try to see the roses. and when we focus on the roses the thorns are no longer that important.

Isn't it funny that the same thing you had to say about the gentleman (faultfinder) is exactly what you became as you watched this video (faultfinder)?

Give the guy a break, please. He was SPEECHLESS. We all say silly things when we are trying to find words when there really are none. I'm sure the son understood his father's response within the context of their relationship.

I disagree. "All of us" ... didn't necessarily indicate selfishness. Maybe it indicated the opposite. "Hope these are good seats" could also have been a joke. There is joy and tears for this gift. As well as laughter. That doesn't spell someone looking at a gift and calling it unworthy.

Sadly, I saw myself in this present-opening video. That of fault-finder. This well-loved grandfather made not one, but two statements that took much of the joy out of the moment. "All of us?" (Which means that suddenly this present wasn't big enough.) And "Hope these are good seats?" (Which means he is already judging the value.) Dads, when opening gifts, I recommend one response: Humble gratitude. @fathers52

+This video is a blessing, as well as others. This is what should be on late night news. Sleep would be more peacful.

That was so cool!

Super bowl? (I only saw the front of the ticket for a brief second, nut I thought I saw the logo) Regardless, just look at this man's reaction and even the shakiness of his son who was taking the video! So, WHATAEVER game it is, you can see how meaningful it was to BOTH father and son! Wonderful! May God bless them both!
