Good Samaritan Finds Homeless Man Digging in Trash For Food - Then Does The Kindest Thing

please don't be sorry...thank you for letting your eyes see the man...and therefore the Christ.

All members of the body of Christ (the Church) have a purpose. I am astounded and hurt to hear the judgement of this man. If this man is a believer then he was doing a good thing. Even if he was not it is still a good thing regardless of his saved or unsaved condition.

No reason for him to say 'I'm sorry'. Unfortunately some people have no money for food because they spend their money on addictions. :-(

He was just showing others an example of how easy it is. I give people food, not money. Try it? :-)

Maybe he was trying to send a message for all of us to help others who are in need. How many times have you seen a person homeless or hungry and helped them, don't pick fault with this man, at least he did something

nice act but I thought the same thing about the filming

Matthew 5:16 states "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." I don't know if this man is a Christian or not, but instead of criticizing him for filming (which was probably done innocently with a helmet cam), give glory to the Father that there was someone there to help the man digging through the garbage.

Rob Matthew Chapman I think maybe this was him planting a seed in people's minds that just a small act of kindness would show how easy it is to make a difference in someone's life. Yes, we do not know where this man is now, but at least at this moment his belly wasn't empty.

Marti Stanford My job is to help people get a home, help homeless people get a home, help disabled people get housing, etc. Also, name one job that isn't funded by taxpayers. Every job depends on other people's money: from retail to the food industry to the auto industry to the government to construction, etc. We all rely on someone else's money for our salaries. And incidentally, I'm all for helping feed those who need food. And maybe this was a helmet cam, but I still don't care for it being broadcast. The poor guy is in a vulnerable place in his life. And we are all praising the guy who helped him. But remember, that's just one meal. Where is that poor guy now...

Ann Hardy Aschauer He is a bicyclist commuter and they have camera's on their helmets. He was videoing him doing a good deed. Just thought you should know.

I was thinking the same but sometimes we need prompting and. Reminded this clip does that too

This is what all of mankind should do. Nobody should ever have to go hungry when so many have more than they need.

I have seen skaters do the same thing.. so I agree with Mr. Wampler :)

Thank you for sharing sir. With examples like this it makes it easier for us ourselves to do the samething. God's heart is to help those in need... especially a hungry homeless person. The Bible says something like don't just say "God bless you" to a homeless person... but bless them with food and drink. Most churches have homeless ministries... so you can join one of these churches and go out with them to help those less fortunate. It will bless you more that you can possibly imagine! You come home with a big smile on your face... because you know your time was not wasted watching junk on TV... but instead your time was spent wisely... shedding the love of God through Jesus Christ in real tangible ways. Halleluia. Be serving God at His return the Bible tells us... to not be found as a lazy servant who hid his talents in the dirt never investing your time and talent into God's real Kingdom. God will say to the lazy servant at the end something like... because you have never helped the least of these you have not helped me... depart from me into outer darkness you workers of iniquity. If we TRULY LOVE God let us show it.... LOVE IS ACTION. Words are cheap. I am talking to you too Pastors up on your marble pulpits too... come down from there and out into the streets sharingt he good news like Jesus and all of His apostles and disciples did... lest you be like the Pharisees, Saducees and Scribes... just safely staying in your temple... but they did not do what they preached.. they were hypocrites. Real, true love... is ACTIVE love... not lip service... but hands and feet service. Get out there every one of us who call themselves a Christian. The Jails, hospitals, streets, orphans and widows are waiting for someone like you... yes you... even you reading this comment... and I am talking to myself too. Oh Amen. Praise the Lord for He is good and will give us the strength to "help the least of these my brothers." "Enter into your rest. Well done my good and faithful SERVANT!" Sevants serve my friend. So go out and SERVE! PRAISE GOD! in the name, power and love of Jesus Christ! When you show up... God shows up. Want to see the miracles of God... then show up and God will show off in miraculous powerful ways... as loving, feeding and praying with the homeless, widows, imprisoned... and all those who need a touch from God through you.

You don't have to make a video of your good deeds to the less fortunate. God sees all! If you brag about it, your good deed means nothing...... If you do it with no recognition, the Lord will bless you tenfold!

Seriously people, you can do one of two things... go out and do this yourself, or quite ripping on the man who did do it himself...if he didn't film this you would have not seen an inspiring and humbling and lesson teaching video in the first place. and in response to "it would have been a more sincere act if he had not filmed himself doing it. :/" I'm quite confused, if we did see the same video like I think we did...then I am uncertain as to which point he allegedly filmed himself. No one here has any idea who this guy is, so does it matter if he filmed the blessing or not? No one here has any idea who it is. Let us stop judging this man who took it upon himself to bless a man because last I checked Jesus did not judge others. James 4:12 says "There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?"
