He should give whatever his heart and mind tell hin to give. If he is a born-again believer he will listen to the Holy Sprit. I agree with you on the 10% personally. I am on Social Security Disability and even my parents who always tithed when they were working say that I am not obligated to give 10 % of that. I give what I can and God blesses me anyway. Would He bless me more if I gave more. I am fairly certain He would so that should be motivation enough!

Matthews 5:17-19 17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Carlos, Thankfully, Jesus Christ satisfied the Law of Moses. We need not be subjected to it's condemnation any longer.
