He should give whatever his heart and mind tell hin to give. If he is a born-again believer he will listen to the Holy Sprit. I agree with you on the 10% personally. I am on Social Security Disability and even my parents who always tithed when they were working say that I am not obligated to give 10 % of that. I give what I can and God blesses me anyway. Would He bless me more if I gave more. I am fairly certain He would so that should be motivation enough!
