Christian, what a precious heart you have!!! You are probably one of the wisest 12-year-olds I know. I wish ADULTS had the heart for others that you have. God bless you, sweet boy. I wish I could watch and see where the Lord takes you as an adult. What a blessing you are and will be in this "gimme gimme" world! Your attitude blesses me! Keep on shining for Jesus, amazing child of God!! :)

Jesus said "the poor you will always have with you" and the last post from Raymond was very judgmental! The heart of the Lord is mercy not judgment.

If we would all give a little our hearts would be warm and full

Some people say there isn't a God, but He is active in many people. Some don't even realize God is using them but their kindness and love will show God's love to many. this man is a special person who wants to show these people that they are not forgotten and someone cares. God Bless him.

You can - regardless of where you live, there is always someone in need and organizations who are there to help. Reach out via an existing organization and give of your time (and finances if possible). Also start a group in your church that reaches out several times a year. Our bible study group did this for Christmas and fed 21 at a nearby community and we're going to do it again for Easter. If you truly want to do more, ask God to lead your path and He will make it straight..

How many christians today are doing this act of kindness towards the poor? only those who are focus on Christ can do such things genuinely for the glory of God. Other motives arent valid.

I kind of agree with you there - but, what about not being judgemental? What seems like a long time ago now, I was in my late teens/early twenties and found myself living in a friends car - someone gave me food, a roof over my head and work, from there on I didn't need outside help - I was given the means to help myself. If I had just been given some clothes or food and left to live in the car, who knows what my life would be like. (I don't drink, or do drugs, don't smoke). Sometimes the help that can be given is obvious - like the guy in the video handing out warm clothes for cold weather - but suppose he went a step further and took one (or more) of them home to have a hot bath, launder the clothes, give them a hot meal and help them to get a job - maybe offer a bed for the night?
