I transcribed the words for you, (a little unsure of some of the words in the first couple of sentences)

You have a true voice of an Angel and God given talent not only in singing but writing as well. May God Bless you and keep you always and kudos to your dad! Keep singing for the Lord and pray for your mom!

I loved his performance and the song! I grew up with alcoholic parents and my dad changed his life when I was about 25 so I understand what he was saying! God Bless him!

I think part of the video was clipped. I thought I saw a glitch. It was a very moving song!

Marguerite, I don't know you've ever been able to hear but the sound was a little folksy, a little country ballad. It has a kinda quick tempo that carries you along on its notes. Tap your fingers; tap tap tap, taptaptap.

Well, you've got your own, but this is my life.

He needs to pursue a singing career. It sometimes takes to live it to feel it. Hey, that just sounded like a good title for a new song! LOL

We need to realize that we don't always know what is going on in all phases of each other lives. Sometimes we put on fronts so that people won't know how we are hurting. We should always pray to God to be there , strengthen , and watch over our friends. Give people the benefit of a doubt. Something may be going on in the back/undisclosed part of their lives.

SOME DO RECOVER: this just proves there's life in recovery and with the Grace of God there's life far more abundantly! More than what this world ever has to offer, my daughter and 4 grandchildren never knew that their Dad & Grandpa was a drunk and the biggest jerk walking the earth! Now after 27 years as a new man in Christ and Sober, I praise God for never leaving or forsaken each of us! And continuing and completing every good work He started in our lives. Even after the lost of our only child and to be able to know that our grandchildren are with us and we know that we were never alone walking through the valley of death, He has carried us through! Our grandchildren are thriving and excelling in their own lives and we even have a new Great Grandchild who has bless us all and has healed our broken hearts, now through the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ we will Bless God! And our future is Bright! So, Thank You Young Man for Showing your Dad and every person in recovery, that it makes a difference!

I think how differently this story might have turned out! This young man (and his dad) turned something bad into something good for the glory of God!

That was awesome! My Dad overcame alcoholism too! That song was awesome and I can see you becoming an awesome song writer and singer and guitar player!

His dad did overcome it & this was in thanks to him. The song talked about how everyone says the grass is greener on the other side and his answer to that? This is my life. In essence, because of all his dad did/gave up - he was able to have a good life.

I thought the same thing, Elaine. Thankfully, the crowd got on their feet to show this young just how great of an impact this song had.
