Agony became Appeasement

Posted on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 09:26PM.

Blurred vision became a clear picture as the screams protruded from his mouth. He was brought into a world full of violence and hatred. So reluctant to come through that the doctors had no choice but to cut him from the womb.

A few years passed...

A violent boy, he was ungrateful, and didn't honor his father or his mother. The doctors concluded that he must be bipolar. Medication became a daily ritual. Adolescence hit and middle school became his new place of torment. Depression and thoughts of suicide crossed the mind of a confused, tortured soul. His blood boiled with anger and hatred for the world.

High school came around, but not before his first couple of visits to a psychiatric hospital. Cigarettes, marijuana and ecstasy became a part of him. He was sent to an alternative school for his behavior. He hated life.

He thought he should swallow the bitter little pills in the cabinet. So he did. Being rushed to the hospital, they forced thick, black, gritty liquid down his throat. They kept him alive for another day.

A couple years passed...

He knew he couldn't do anything on his own and that there was more to live for. He kept questioning his existence. The thought of God crossed his mind several times and he remembered a time as a boy when he was told about a man named Jesus. Someone crossed paths with him and refreshed his memory as to who Jesus was. He was told that Jesus Christ was the Son of God and died for every sin he had ever committed. Every time he had lied, cheated and stolen, Jesus could forgive him, if only he would turn away from those things and trust in Him. So he did.

Jesus Christ saved him. He's no longer miserable; no longer hateful, resentful or angry. He loves life. He couldn't be more thankful. The knowledge that his salvation is sure continually dwells in his mind. Jesus Christ, the Son of the True Living God delivered him from a life of death. He can do the same for you.

This young man prays that if you haven't already put your faith in Jesus Christ, that you would at least consider what He did for you. Jesus loves you. He truly loves you. Whether you don't believe in Him, curse Him, or even blame Him for your mishaps, He still loves you with an everlasting love.
