I am a 20-year-old singer/songwriter. I have held an affinity for music and played various instruments throughout my life, but began teaching myself guitar and developing my voice at age 14. I joined a youth worship team at age 16, playing for the next two years as an electric guitarist and vocalist, and am now solo for the time being.
I've come to realize that a calling is not a destination but a journey, and the value comes not from doing all the right things or having all the right answers, but from growing from the process. What began as an attempt to create the right-sounding melodies and to think of the right-sounding lyrics has, through time and experiences, become a release of the rawest of human emotions, a chronicle of a journey that is solely my own and yet that of the entire human race simultaneously. I write it because it is my own release; but I share it in the hopes that it might in some way release others. My goal is to chronicle my own journey of living life and discovering God, so that anyone who comes after me might feel a little less alone, might see the path a little clearer, and might hope to discover God a little more.
