Accounting Clerk

Plano, TX (Dallas Area)

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Clerk will perform duties in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, basic bookkeeping and other accounting related tasks.

Job Descriptions

Verify and post cash receipts, expenses, or other transactions to journals, ledgers, and/or other records
Verify and post account receivable transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
Prepare statements, invoices, and vouchers
Prepare invoices, bills, vouchers, or other documents and submit for payment processing
Sort and file documents and perform calculations
Calculate billing charges, and assign billing numbers for tracking purposes
Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash, etc.
Make bank deposits
G/L reconciliation
May perform other basic clerical duties associated with accounts payable
Maintain standards of confidentiality with respect to all matters

Skills Requirement

1 plus years experience in AR and AP
BA in Accounting or equivalent work experience required
Knowledge of debits and credits a requirement
Understanding of basic accounting principles
Knowledge of QuickBooks and PC Skills, including Excel and Word
Must be detail oriented
Must be able to juggle multiple projects in a fast paced environment
Effective communication, presentation, and communication skills
