I am a Christian. I have studied the word of God for 20 plus years. 10 of those heavily.
I am tired of assumptions.
At one time I felt powerless. I would watch Christians, endure challenges by others with ' rapid questions' regarding scripture;and when a question did not have an immediate answer that some how concluded that religion was fake or worse - poor assumptions were made, which discredited those of faith.
I have been fighting for those who want to learn the word but are tired of yelling, tired of feeling ashamed because they do not have the same level of understanding - same manner of dress in church or lack the money to add to tithing trays.
I encourage questions and am usually the first to admit when I do not know - so I immediately look for an answer and together we learn.
Christianity really is fascinating and I cannot get enough of the word. I consume it and when I am speaking with others - it comes out as a story that is interesting to others who hopefully learn. I enjoy this so much that I made a film based on all I have gathered from scholars, theologians and other religious faiths.
I will be honest and say that I have been hurt by comments from others, who know very little about my work. Some have made assumptions of my film based on limited content.
I strongly encourage anyone who has an opinion to simply ask me what I am thinking or ask me to explain. The word of God is too important to get wrong and I am doing my very best to try and keep my film within those boundaries. Please consider this a warning
The film has been referred to by others as 'new age' - I give you my word this film is not about the so called, new age or world order or anything other than the historic information that has been gathered over the course of this project and explainations given to me by scholars, theologians, priests etc.
I am running out of strength. This film is my OPUS.
