Sadly, our preacher neglects to make a clear gospel declaration and explanation (Jn.1:12, 3:16; 5:24; 6:47; 11:25-26, etc.). His solution for the pathetic...

Brobrewski, I do certainly agree with you about this southern Baptist preacher delivering this mixture message of law and grace. He does though have good points that do ring true for any Christian but it was the delivery system that hurt him. The lesser Holy Ghost one knows the more condemnation they operate with. The spirit of religiosity is a poison in the Body of Christ which creates entropy to where the Holy Ghost is not permitted to move very well in any part. Even though some points made by our brother here are valid; the basis for the atmosphere was condemnation but at least he did encourage ones reflection in contrast to how well they know Jesus' character personally and that they should look like Jesus by life style. Certainly we see a valiant attempt but a misguided message that should have been given by a more spiritually refined messenger, one who has been taught how to pray in tongues to receive wisdom before speaking part flesh part grace. You wrote, "The call to salvation is not the same as the call to discipleship". Leaders must first be saved by grace and filled with the CONVICTING Holy Spirit, not a CONDEMNING spirit that mixes law and grace into confusion cocktails. Once this differential is made surely, when the Holy Spirit is at work by majority in the heart, then ministers of the Gospel of all sorts can correctly identify the spiritual condition of their surroundings and next communicate the truth effectively so that they do not grieve the Lord or His children. I felt unnessicary heaviness while listening to this video right after the clapping audience began to show agreement with the sermon. Then condemnation poked in and kicked the Holy Ghost out with accusatory tone towards the audience. God is a gentleman and tactful in how he addresses his congregation. Even though the minister has a good mind for the truth it is his heart though that must renew his mind by reproof internally for reproof externally to communicate well. Only God can teach this. Ephesians deals well in my heart with how we are fighting spirits in everyday life especially in the area of most true Christian conduct, using tongue power with influence. Eph 1:17-23 is a prayer I put out these days to people who need eyes opened in revelation of who Christ is and what he is really saying. God bless you brother.
