| About Me: | For years I sought after the things of this world and pursued my own glory, goals and sought refuge mainly in the Rock & Roll Industry and the Rock & Roll lifestyle. My basic testimony is that I should have been another statistic and/or casualty much like many musical artists, Elvis, Jimi Hendricks, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Jon Bonham, Kurt Cobain, etc, etc; However, the Lord rescued me from my own destructive, painful, addictive, worldly ways at my asking and now uses me to minister in music and evangelize under His anointing. The Word is His love letter and my ultimate guidance as led by the Holy Spirit. I have a hunger for God's Word and work in my life. The Worldly/Secular music industry left me absolutely NOTHING but badly broken and sick. Father God burned my entertainment barley fields BIG TIME...and when I was so very broken and crushed Father showed me my true call on my life for Him...to Worship... to testify to HIS redeeming POWER & GLORY! ~~~Glory by Glory Father is leading me, transforming me. This is the real short version of my testimony regarding my life! There were the Grammy Awards Show Attendances, Limosines, Jets, Helecopters, LARGE capacity audiences...YET there was NO peace, NO joy. I basically have nothing now...BUT I TRULY now have EVERYTHING. I hope my videos and raw worship song videos I produce from my home will create an atmosphere where our Lord Jesus will touch you in some sweet or awesome way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BILLY ROGERS BIO: Singer/Songwriter, Billy Rogers grew up in the Maryland/Washington D.C. area and attended school in the suburbs. Rogers sang and performed since childhood but started his professional musical career at the age of 16. He received his vocal training from Art Colevis, whom notably coached Roberta Flack and Goldie Hawn. Billy Rogers performed in the Rock & Roll club circuit throughout the East Coast and as far south as Cuba including various USO shows. Rogers worked for the Danny Joe Brown Band (Molly Hatchet ex-singer) under the CBS Epic Label as directed by Outlaws Band manager, Charlie Brusco. Rogers spent time opening for Greg Allman with his Allman Brothers Band in the early 1980's. In Rogers' road travels he met renowned Guitarist, Richie Sambora and was offered the lead singer position in the band Bon Jovi, as there was conflict within the band before its reconciliation and ultimate success in the late 1980's Occurring in Billy Rogers career in the early 1990's Jay Warner of Burbank California offered a publishing deal to Rogers after a positive meeting and review of his written musical works. Warner handled the publishing of Lionel Richie, Rick James and also negotiated publishing deals for MC Hammer's career. Rogers met Ike Turner of Ike & Tina Turner while singing in Carlsbad, California. Rogers singing and his musical abilities wowed Ike. Rogers subsequently sang and wrote with Ike Turner as well as traveled abroad and in the ensuing period produced the Ike Turner & Billy Rogers Maxi-Single CD "I'm Blue". Because of opposing philosophies between Rogers and Turner the musical partnership was dissolved in the aftermath of the Tina Turner abuse controversy, which surrounded the release of "I Tina" and the movie "What's Love Got to Do With It". The Ike Turner & Billy Rogers CD in spite of the strife received strong reviews from Billboard Magazine, Larry Flick, Singles Reviews published January 14th 1995. Philippians 3:8 "and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ" Philippians 3:13-14 "forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Jesus Christ" Rogers took a sabbatical period in his musical career (Due to addictive Illness) and since then initiated a spirit led, fulfilling career in Contemporary Christian Music. Since his spiritual renewal and growth Rogers has worked in various Prison Ministries, with organizations like the notable, Bill Glass Prison Ministries / Champions for Life and has served along with now minister, Tully Blanchard formerly of the Four Horsemen and World Wrestling fame. Rogers currently sings and performs at prisons, assorted churches and events as scheduled.
