~ THE RIGHT HAND AND THE LEFT~

He has brought me to his banquet hall, and his banner over me is love. Sustain me with raisin cakes, refresh me with apples, because I am lovesick. Let his left hand be under my head and his right hand embrace me.

God's hands, His left and His right, are equally powerful and reliable. We can trust His hands. The right hand is the hand of strength, skill and authority. It is also the hand of love and tenderness.. It bestows the greatest blessings. The place of the greatest favor, honor or influence is on the right. It is the more important hand or side because it is the one by which man is led.
The right hand of God is a favorite Old Testament expression for God's almighty power in creation; in war and deliverance; and for His sovereign benefience. To be seated at the right hand of God signifies a position of greatest honor, reserved only for the royal figure of Messiah.(See Psalms 110:1)
The left hand is usually associated with warfare. The ability to use both hand equally was highly prized among the ancients, especially among warriors.(See Judges20:16).
Sometimes a personal relationship with the Lord is like having a hand to hold in the crowd. We sense a blessed security that he is there for us, and we are not alone. We don't have to do anything spectacular, but only walk with Him and let Him lead the way. When we hold hands, our hearts meet as one... in agreement. A divine trust comes with the touch of His unseen hand..........
