Please leave a comment! agnostic (n) - One who believes it is impossible to know if God exists. I am an Agnostic I was brought up by a Catholic Father and an Agnostic Mother They are both Great Parents! In my opinion Religion can be Good AND Evil I don't believe that Jesus Christ was the "Son of God" and I don't believe the Bible is the "Word of God" I don't know if I believe in God or not... I just don't believe certain things in the Bible to be true. That's the long and short of it. I can appreciate people believing it to be true, and I'm not saying you're wrong, I just don't believe it. I never have. I was raised Catholic and went to many years of Catholic school so I've heard my share of readings, gospels, sermons, interpretations, etc. I agree obviously it's a great book, and there's much good that it has to offer, I've just never believed it to bo the word of God and I've always been suspicious that Jesus wasn't the "son of God" I've also always objected to (most) all War particularly Holy Wars of any kind... I have issues with -Religion and it's role in Wars throughout history and today. -The Religious Killing Crusades -Corruption and Hypocracy in Religion -Hatred and Intolerence between Faiths, and between Believers and Non Believers. -Religions that claim to be the "One True" while all others are doomed... Stuff like that... Please don't Stereotype me (too late) as some sort of Liberal Godless Weenie who just hates Christians and wants to hand out condoms to your kid's school and outlaw Christmas... ...I Do believe in separation of Church and State and teaching Sex education to our kids though... I Love and Respect People who are Believers and Non Believers. Deuteronomy 32 (18-26) 18 You deserted the Rock, who fathered you; you forgot the God who gave you birth. 19 The LORD saw this and rejected them because he was angered by his sons and daughters. 20 "I will hide my face from them," he said, "and see what their end will be; for they are a perverse generation, children who are unfaithful. 21 They made me jealous by what is no god and angered me with their worthless idols. I will make them envious by those who are not a people; I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding. 22 For a fire has been kindled by my wrath, one that burns to the realm of death below. I pray that you receive the knowledge you seek, here at Godtube. There are some that may try and stear you wrong, but not as many of those here, as there are on youtube. Just know that I am praying for you every night at 4am my time (1am your time), and whatever comes to you during that time, may be just what you need. Take care of yourself.....jeff |

Hi. Just saw a pretty cool video called non-christian christians. Have you seen that? It reminds me of the dynamics of the discussion on your vigilante video. Loving your enemy and praying for them... It also touched on the Good Samaritan that stopped to care for the man on the side of the road, while the supposedly religious guys were too caught up in their own dealings to give a helping hand and to show love for thier fellow man. I just want to comment on the last post. I understand your intentions but Agnostic is not a daggum cause; he isn't a charity. He is a human being. Since you enjoy quoting scripture to those who don't accept it's full authority and sufficiency for salvation, how about this from James 1; Be slow to Speak and Quick to listen. Do you honestly think you can incapsulate this man by reading a few paragraphs of what he believes. It is not a question of who is right or who is wrong but who is willing to listen and be objective regarding the audience they seek to persuade. Why can't we listen before responding? Why can't we ask questions that drive a nail at the heart of the issue rather than rattling off passages that have meaning to believers and not to unbelievers. Agnostic, I am sorry for any person that sees you as a cause. it breaks my heart that Christians feel that they need to be as loud as they can with their faith without first understanding the people and the times in which they live. |
