Dear God, I pray that you will open the eyes and heart of my son so that he will see and accept You as his Savior and Lord. I pray that he will be filled with Your wisdom in his roles as both husband and father. I know it is Your will for all to be saved. Thank you for all that You will do.

HTB: You are obviously very wise and truly desire to understand things of God. Still, I can't help but notice how much of what you say is your own opinion, your intepretation. The Bible is the tool God has given us to use through His Holy Spirit for our edification and His glory. It seems like a waste of precious time to strive about the law with contentions and foolish questions, when the Bible, which serves as its own commentary, provides all the answers and assurance we need. All we do on this earth with our gift of eternal life should be done with a motivation to show our love and gratitude for our Father's graciousness to us. That includes looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God (Heaven). Jesus wants us to hope and look for that day when we will be at home with Him, and He says this in John 14:1-6. He is preparing for that day, and likewise, so should we be. Our priority should be the fulfilling the great commission (Matthew 28:19, 20) How can we neglect to warn those souls destined to spend an eternity in hell because we don't consider the warning an evangelistic tool? God help us when we forsake humility and become so philosophical that we disregard the fact that there is very little we can do but rely on HIs Word. HTB, God loves you and has obviously gifted you with the desire to study His Word. I believe He has a great purpose for you; however, I also believe that when we preach God, it is not our words or opinion that is important or what people need to hear. Rather it is what God's Word says, and that is sufficient alone. Brother, it is in love, for you and for our Heavenly Father, that I say these things. God wants to build you and increase your effectiveness for the Kingdom's sake. You will be in my prayers. "Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus." Colossians 1:28

Great video, HTB. I agree there aren't as many great churches as there used to be, and we often fail to take the church to the world as we should. Life is not made up of compartments, but it is a single unit God blesses us with to glorify Him, in whatever we do, and to establish His Kingdom in the universe.
