A book called, "Falling" by Ilene Dover
my joke
There was 2 little boys that lived with their grandmother. They were a little rambunctious and they never really had a father. Their grandmother talked to the near by pastor about it and he told him to send the youngest one to talk to him tomorrow after school. The next day the little boy walked in and the pastor started asking him "where is God son... where is god?" He got very frightened and ran home to his brother's room. Then he said after catching his breathe to his brother. "Man we are in big trouble, the preacher thinks we stole God!!!"

Monday Morning - November 3rd, 2008
I just added a 68 picture slideshow presentation to our (husband and me) website, pictures of the 4,600 mile bicycle trip we did back in 1987. It'll take ya around 2 to 3 minutes to check it out but be sure to look at the other stories on the site also. Just a few days ago AL did 'The Dog Story' - it shows how to safely escape aggressive dogs while cycling, jogging, or just walking down the road.
We've started to ride around again (21 years later) on our two-seater bicycle and we're getting the 'bug' again. We'll be ramping-up our mileage and soon taking some overnight trips. Last Friday was Allans birthday so he decided to cycle all the way to work, he always wanted to do that 55 mile trip. It went well but afterwards he couldn't decide if it was the best birthday gift he has ever given himself or the worst...no, only kidd'in, it was a nice ride. Of course it'll be winter soon so we probably won't get out too often but warm days are still here, Al remember last year doing some pretty decent bicycle rides in December!
Anyway, here's the slideshow: http://www.usforhim.com/bikepics.html
Here's the Dog Story: http://www.usforhim.com/dogstory.html (that's our pup in the picture - he was staring at a Frisbee)
You have to check out the Raccoon Story also: http://www.usforhim.com/raccoonstory.html
Most of all, look at our individual days - I'm up to day #26 or so (Allan's Diary mostly): http://www.usforhim.com/day01.html
We are publishing a book about this trip but getting all the text and pictures together by way of the website. Al still have a long way to go so keep checking back.
Happy trails and God bless...

Psychoneuroimmunology is the study of laughter.<br />
Laughter is good for blood pressure, makes you look younger, it improves stamina, helps sleep, and strengthens the immune system. Having a sense of humor can add eight years to life. It helps in creativity, productivity and motivation. Studies say that 100 laughs equal 10 miles for the heart muscles. Laughter is a 10 times stronger pain killer then Morphine.<br />
<br />
Lets take a look at what the Bible says about laughter and joy.<br />
<br />
Proverbs 15:13: A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.<br />
<br />
Sorrow means, worry, pain, anger, and grief. These things will break you and kill you.<br />
<br />
Isaiah 51:11: Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away<br />
<br />
Our spirit is broken when we are sorrowful. Joy is the answer to sorrow and mourning.<br />
<br />
Isaiah 61:3: To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning,<br />
<br />
<br />
Nehemiah 8:10: The Joy of the Lord is our strength.<br />
<br />
Psalm 107:39: When they are diminished and brought low through oppression, affliction and sorrow.<br />
<br />
Sorrow is from the devil & is meant to destroy us.<br />
The next scripture says that not only is our spirit broken, but a broken spirit dries the bones. It makes us sick when we are sad. Laughter and joy are naturally healing to our bodies. Doctors say people with a sense of humor get well faster. Some doctors tell dying patients to go home and watch funny TV.
HI Friends,
I wanted to invite you to check out another side of me (Ribbons the clown) 21 years ago my husband and me bicycled across USA ON A BICYCLE BUILT FOR 2. We rode 4,800 miles in 81 days. Just the two of us on a bicycle built for 2 packed down with bags. It took us 81 days. Our twins were conceived on the way. so we stopped in NY instead of NH. We were by ourself and camped most of the way. Our story is very interesting and can be viewed at www.usforhim.com
We were approached by the 700 club 2 times but never followed up. Hopefully they will contact us again. This was a mission trip to tell people about Jesus. We both keep diaries and they are also in the story. We are planning to make it into a book. We only have through day 8 or so right now, but that is enough to keep you busy. We STARTED AT HOPE CHAPEL OUR CHURCH IN MANNHATTEN BEACH CA AND ENDED AT LOCKPORT NY.
I Hope you enjoy the journey!
Sincerely,
Ribbons the clown
