Do you know the difference between God's Grace and Mercy?? Many Christians, and secular people, get these two beautiful words confused, so I am writing this to clarify the difference between the two words and hopefully you will learn from this and take it with you everywhere you go. Also, spread it around. Let everybody know what you know.:(Thanks to my parents and God for instilling this Godly knowlegde in me).

GOD'S GRACE: GOD'S GRACE IS GIVING ME SOMETHING THAT I DON'T DESERVE...

FOR AN EXAMPLE: LIFE. I DON'T DESERVE IT. I DON'T DESERVE TO WAKE UP EVERY MORNING AND TAKE THE PRECIOUS BREATHS THAT I TAKE FOR GRANTED AND PRAISE THE LORD. BUT, EVERY MORNING THAT I OPENED MY EYES AND TAKE IN MY FIRST BREATH, IT IS GOD'S GRACE THAT ALLOWS ME TO DO THAT. MANY PEOPLE DON'T MAKE IT TO SEE THE NEXT DAY, AND I PRAISED GOD FOR IT:)!!....

GOD'S MERCY: GOD'S MERCY IS REFRAINING SOMETHING THAT I DO DESERVE...

FOR AN EXAMPLE: DEATH. BEFORE JESUS CHRIST CAME INTO MY LIFE, I WAS DESTINED FOR @ATION AND DEATH. I WAS DESTINED FOR HELL. I DESERVED IT. BUT, THROUGH THE RED BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST THAT WAS SHED ON THE CROSS, MY LIFE HAS BEEN CHANGED. NOW I AM NOT DESTINED FOR DEATH, BUT LIFE, THRU JESUS CHRIST. AND I PRAISE GOD FOR IT:)!!...

So, you remember this every day that you got a chance to see and live thru and I hope you pass this knowledge along the way, to the next person.~Shantia B~
"In the beginning, GOd created the heavens and the earth.." Genesis 1:1. This is God giving life to Adam, from the dust. Everytime I look at this picture, it reminds me of GOd's grace of breathing life into me, just like He is about to do in this picture. Isn't this picture beautiful or what? "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace upon him, and by his wounds we are healed."
Recently, I attended my regular Women's Christian Bible Study. The Bible Study is held every Tuesday ,at 7:00pm, at my school. We went over 1 Corinthians Chapters 7-10. After listening to the Bible Experience CD and reading the assigned chapters, we had a discussion about the topics and answered some questions. Mainly, we discussed about 1Corinthians 7 (Marriage and Singleness). Somehow, the question of dating appeared in our discussion. As a young, single Christian woman: Do I suppose to date? Do Christian women and men suppose to date, at all? I am going to bring up some Scriptures from the Bible and then I want you, the reader, to look up some Scriptures and bring your perspective to it. This discussion is healthy and not an debate. Please refrain from bashing another person's perspective and using profane words. Please open your minds and hearts! Thank you and God Bless!

(P.S. I could not find any Scriptures on Dating from my K.J.V Bible Index. However, I found that my Index had Scriptures on Marriage, !%#!ual Immorality, et cetera).

Reasons why Christian Men and Women Suppose to Remain Single (and not Dating):

1 Corinthians 7: 32-35 (KJV)- vs. 32-But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how may please the Lord. vs-33-But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife. vs 34- There is a difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be HOLY both in BODY and in SPIRIT: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband. vs-35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.
So, as single Christian men and women, our BODIES, mind, spirit , EVERYTHING is subjected to the Lord. Why? It is a commandment and calling for us to focus on the calling from the Lord. 1 Corinthians 6: 17-20 states that vs 17- "But he that joined unto the Lord is one spirit. vs18-FLEE FORNICATION. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. vs 19- What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you?, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? vs 20-For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit. which are God's.
Also- Romans 12: 1-2 (KJV) vs 1-"I beseech you therefore, brethen, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. vs 2-" And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God."
In a dating relationship, a Christian man and woman are inclined to pleasing each other. Even though they are love and respect God and their bodies, !$@$ual lusts and temptations will appear. Their main focus is on pleasing each other and not God, which is similar to a MARRIAGE. For it say in the Word (Romans 6:12 -13 and Ephesians 6: 10-20), that we shall not have any mortal sin in our body, because our body is a instrument to the Lord. Also, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood; but against principalities....
In fact, there is not one Scripture about the subject of dating. Except, maybe this Scripture is about dating: Proverbs 18: 22-"Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord." What do you think? Please, let me know! Do Christians suppose to think or not? Remember the above rules and God bless!
