He should be first in all things and all other things will be last when it comes to knowing Him, loving Him, and serving Him!
Sad to say that many people today don't put Him first. If they did it would reflect on the character of a person. The actions of a person and also the reactions. whats first n your life today? Is it friends? Kids? husband? Wife? Job? Church(not the God of the church)?
Self? too many numerous things that can apply!
Every tree is known by it's fruit and a spring cant bring forth fresh water and then salty water. You have to be either hot or cold, Luke warm is not acceptable before God. We as Christians need to stop straddling the fence when it come to living for Him. we can fool others, but who's judgment is what will determine our destiny? I hope you answer God?
Knowing Him first intimately is better than anything that there is to be possessed n this earth!! What matters most? words or Power! You can study the Bible from cover to cover and yet loose your soul forever. You can chose to be complacent in your walk with God based on past experiences or just be satisfied that your saved and not seek Him daily.
Being a Christian is not only about being saved, going to church, singing and praising, but to go out and preach to the lost with evidence of the working of the Holy Spirit!! and this my friends only comes in Knowing Him intimately and no amount of education or theology or Bible school can fabricate the Power of God! A person the knows Him intimately just has to say, "JESUS!" and the shackles of sin and sickness are broken!!
So if you don't have a PERSONAL relationship with your savior then today is the day to start. How? Enter into prayer. Make time, God is never too busy for you is He?
Your only as strong as your prayer life because that is where you meet God face to face!
The veil has been torn in to and now we can approach God boldly!! The Bible says Draw nigh unto me and I will draw nigh unto you!! You take the step and God will meet you there!
I will get more in detail about this subject, but for now. I'm going to sleep! lol!
God bless you!

We can often punish ourselves more than what God is willing to chasten us or maybe God is not even thinking about chastening us. We sometimes in the midst of our failures can reward ourselves with a self measure of condemnation. we prolong what would be an otherwise liberating feeling of forgiveness and trade the truth of God for a conjured up lie of our mind or even lies of the enemy.
I remember in the past when I would stumble. I had the habit of putting myself through the motions of "just" punishment that I thought was sufficient for me to "learn" my lesson.
I could just picture Jesus looking down at me and wondering why I was doing such a thing to myself when He offers forgiveness so easily?
The knowledge that God is Holy is true, but you shouldn't think that He's too holy to approach you (or vice- versa) in your times of failures. The greatest example of Jesus reaching us at our worst is the picture of the cross. (Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.)
In my life I have had to come to acknowledge and remind myself that He is always willing to forgive as soon as we ask for forgiveness. Simply put we need to take God at His word no matter what we think or feel, yes we cannot ignore conviction, but conviction is to take you to the feet of Jesus for forgiveness. Believe the word of God and trust that He is faithful. (I Jn.1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.) It's as simple as that! Just confess to God and He will forgive.
You know in your heart if you mean it when you ask for forgiveness. Whether you are sincere or just wanting to get a load off your back. Forgiveness is to restore fellowship with God and not to satisfy ourselves.
(Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.)
How far does God separate us from our sins? then why even reach back? Why even take thought of them? Men may remember, but God's records matter most and those things are blotted out and god no longer remembers them. If God forgives and forgets then we should also forgive ourselves and forget and move on.
(Psalms 145:14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.)
If you feel guilty and have a habit of putting yourself through the wine press then take hold of Gods' word today and make a difference in your life. Know that God is willing to forgive you no matter what you have done and that He is willing to uphold you and raise you up where you should be in Him. Know that you cant please God by your abilities, but by allowing yourself to surrender to His will in your life. (Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.) Only through fellowship with God through the Holy Spirit are we able to live a life that is pleasing to God and not to ourselves. How can we measure ourselves in the midst of such a big God? It's time to let go and let God work in our lives the way He desires and not what we expect.
God bless you my beloved Brothers and sisters in Christ. If you have any questions please feel free to message me or email me at psalm4hm@yahoo.com.
God bless.

I believe what the Bible says
I believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in another language.Acts2:4 Acts 10:46 Paul said that "he spoke tongues more than any of us" its vital to our Christian lives to have the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Believe it or not it's a Biblical fact. Mk 16:17 Do you believe?
I believe that the sick can be healed Mark 16:18/ James 5:14 (and no it's not man, but God working though a selfless man/woman. Jn 14:12
that a man must be born again to enter into heaven. Jn 3
We all know that the Bible says that David had a heart after God and some even criticize that how can he have had that kind of heart with his past?
The most notable sin many give account to David is the Bathsheba incident (II.Sam.11:3). The story goes that he lusted after her while she bathed outside her living quarters. So David coveted and lusted after a married woman and not only that; he took advantage of his God given authority and sent her husband into the front lines to be killed so that she may be free from her marital bond. Before the eyes of all it was not a sin that her husband died and he took her to be his(II Sam.11:27), but before God all things are seen (Jeremiah 32:19/ Prov.16:2).
There are other things that David did before the eyes of God that were wrong, but before men they were unseen. David lost his first born because of his sin with Bathsheba. He did have his reward for his wrong doings(II. Sam.12:9-12).
We all understand the sinful nature of this flesh because we battle it often. we all have experienced the fire that takes us into places that we later regret. Many of us have done worse than David and yet we long for God? We have sinned over and over and yet we still have this deep longing to be free and to know Him.
How can we measure the length of His forgiveness? How can we limit His arms of redeeming grace? Do we have a limit on forgiveness?
God sees beyond our faults and sees the true intentions of the heart. David did have a heart after God. His desire was to love God above all things, but he did have his times of failures.
There is one thing that David did not have. He did not have the infilling of the promise of the Holy Spirit to guide, empower, teach, comfort, etc.... and yet he was a man after God. There is a glimpse in Davids words that leads us to believe that David new of that blessed outpouring in psalms 32:2. In the old testament it was impossible to say that the Lord did not visit His peoples iniquities, but he said it because of the blessed future that God has given us through Jesus Christ our savior was reveled to him through the spirit of God.
With man many things are impossible, but with God all things are possible. God is not sidetracked by our short comings, but as our heart remains in a state of longing He makes a way of escape and gives us His Holy Spirit to put this flesh to death.
Romans 8:13 "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live." So by fellowship with God through the Holy Spirit are we able to overcome and live a life that is pleasing before God.
So if you have a heart after God, but are struggling with iniquities that take you back and discourage you; know that God is aware and sees your hearts true intentions.
Pray the Holy Spirit to help you in all aspects. Learn of the person of the Holy Spirit and know that Jesus sent Him to teach, empower, bring to remembrance, comfort, convict, lead, and to help you walk in the liberty that was purchased on the cross for you.
You have a heart after God? then it's time to give it over to God in all aspects of life. It's time to have God interwoven in the fabric of our lives.
there is a saying that I heard once, "if He's not Lord of all then He's not Lord at all".
May God richly bless you and I hope that I have stirred some desire to know the person of The Holy Spirit and His need in your life. AMEN!!!

Pastor B.
