Holding on to Jesus

Posted on Monday, July 28, 2008 at 11:54PM.

As I hung upside down inside of that car gasping for air and crying out. I struggle with the seatbelt to release, my logic for this was to get oxygen to McKayla ( my unborn Baby). After I released my seatbelt and got myself comfortable as possible. I then took my right hand, grabbed my husbands hand and used his fingers to release his seatbelt. As we waited for help...I kept telling McKayla to hang on to Jesus.

When the firefighter arrived and they got me out and into the ER...someone said that on my tummy was a large hand that was imprinted and you can also see the imprint of McKayla hand right underneath it. You See my little darling was holding on to Jesus. Even when she was taken out of the womb and placed into the bed. I was told she would reach out and grasp in the air. To this day every time there is a sunbeam she will grasp out or just out the blue grasp out and laughs. As young as she is she knows who to cling to. When the times are good or bad always hang on to Jesus.

The Unimaginable

I have always believed in walk by faith not by sight though the last few months just emphasizes that concept. Just imagine you have everything at your fingertips a job, a career, a family and in one day it is ripped from you. That is what happened to me. On Dec. 6, 2007 my husband and I was expecting our first child. Everything was going fine and I was only 3 weeks from due date, and I had 4 days left for work before my leave and the house was almost completed. This particular day we set off for a drive everything was fine. On the way back our vechile left the road and traveled 250 feet down a hill, through a field, launched twice and then flipped end over end over a 45ft ravine. I woke up upside down and crying out to McKayla (my unborn child) Hold on to Jesus. That day I knew I was either going to make it or go home to Jesus.
