A Third Question for Protestants...

This was just a thought that i was pondering the other night, and this may not pertain to all protestants, but....If anyone is capable of understanding the Bible by themselves and can thus act as their own authority in Biblical interpretation, then why are there preachers and ministers? I know that we are all called to preach the gospels, but is there not still the imposition of authority of interpretation on to others? Also, if one then claims that a person need not follow the interpretation of the preacher or minister [say during a Sunday church service] then why would one even go to said church service if it were not to heed the interpretation of a "professional"?........
Would that there were some way that the Catholics in Latina America would subject themselves to some church authority...witchraft is part and parcel, cults of death and santeria using Catholic images. narcos with their own saints and chapels to protect them, priest and all their chilfredn and women...millions of pesos spent on massive cathedrals to acomodate the Pope's visits and the Virgin of Guadalupe, while the poor peasants live on maybe??? $5-10 USD daily...hay que look to one's own church...and call them to order... There is enough for the Catholic church to be concerned about in her own patio...maybe that effort would make a difference in your down denomination. to so many who have left it...like me.
