1. God has boundries that even the oceans must obey. When the ocean leaves its boundries death and destruction follow.
2. Gifts from God are like shells washed up on the beach. If you don't pick them up and use them then they can be taken back out.
3. The most beautiful shells aren't always the perfect ones.
4. Our words and actions carve who we are in others minds like waves against the beach. With each word like each wave we can begin to change how others percieve us
5. There's stuff out there that can sting and eat you. Use wisdom and keep your eyes open
6. Out deep is great peace but great danger...this is where the truest meaning of grace and mercy lives. When you're out deep there's no one else but you, God and the ocean
7. As long as you can see the shore you'll always have a decision to make
8. Like some people, the ocean hides nothing above, only below
9. The ocean illustrates life. We can only go where God's boundries allow and the winds of heaven blow us. Faith is the current that takes us.
More to come...
This is a response PodJumper and his Old Testament arguement posted in my comments.<br /><br />
Because we live under the New Testament and not the Old I will be basing my discussion in the New Testament. This may at first appear to be a flanking move to escape what seems like a solid arguement by PodJumper but I assure you the arguement put forth will be answered in toto.<br /><br />
I have resourced PodJumpers sources. Most of his statments and arguements seem to come from Gay 101 or other sites that take the modern day gay approach. Fair enough. Here is where I will make my first point. By using such sources I question PodJumpers objectivity. I say this because as I will show the terms used and what they mean have been tainted by the modern gay agenda to achieve an end. Further, he has betrayed the objectivity of this discussion by putting the cart of modern day political gay agenda ahead of careful research as to the times, traditions, culture and meaning of the authors. I cannot emphasis strongly enough that in order to understand any work, one must understand as much as possible the author and his intent as well as his surroundings at the time of his writing. Trying to apply modern meaning to ancient texts without this understanding is simply irresponsible. Example: There is no word that translates literally to the english word homoual in the Bible. That is because the word did not exist until two hundred years ago. How could we expect it to translate? That aside I will show that the behavior is specifically addressed over and over as being wrong and sinful.<br /><br />
Point 1: "Is homo%$%#$uality mentioned in the Bible and in what light"<br /><br />
<br /><br />
Romans 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of women, burned in their lust for one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly and recieving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.<br /><br />
<br /><br />
Here we clearly see this has nothing to do with temple pros@@utes or any religious practice. In fact, Paul is speaking here of the gentile idolatry of homo$!#$uality. Why does Paul condemn this behavior? Historically he was a Jew and the Jewish culture despised homo!!!@uality as blurring the lines of gender. Here we have many additional problem outside of homo@@!#uality. Idolatry not to mention fornication. An unholy trinity if you will. <br /><br />
1 Timothy 1:10 <br /><br />
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not decieved: neither fornicators, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor theives, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God.<br /><br />
There are many who attempt to use this word as meaning "soft" or "vunerable." However the word used here "malakos" means young male pros##$ute who allowed themselves to be misused homo!%$%ually. PodJumper makes the point that the pros@$!$ute is not the same as a homo$##@!ual. I will not engage in semantics. His statement is the same as saying a golfer isn't a golfer if he plays for money. Secondly, if a golfer plays golf is he not a golfer?" Because a pros%%%#@ute gets paid for sevices doesn't change the fact he is practicing homo$#$uality paid or not. Remember...it is the behavior.<br /><br />
It is also a well-known fact that in Pauls time that it was customary for male customers to want a passive partner. As a side note up until the 5th century a masculine partner was preferred. <br /><br />
Perhaps one of the most telling terms in the bible that points to homo%#$uality as a sin is one that was not used before Paul coined it by joining two seperate words... arsenos koitin and arsenos ou koimethese which refers to the abusers of mankind in the scripture above. Critics have over the years have tried to twist this into meaning male female relations but to little avail. Question...why would Paul have to coin a new term for male , female relations. Answer...he wouldn't. The word arsenokoitai is a direct translation of Lev.18:22 and 20:13 (heres the tie in to PodJumpers Lev arguement) from the Septuagint an old testament greek source for early hellenistic Jews and early Christians. In addition, the term encompasses the passive and aggressive nature of both homo@!#!ual roles. In addition to the Bible this is recognized by many greek writers of Pauls time.<br />
I have been amazed by waht lengths the gay community will go to try to make the Word say something it clearly does not. If homo###%uality was not a sin I believe God would have made it clear. Instead we find the behavior lumped in with all kinds of other $%%@ual sins against the body.<br />
In part two I will deal with the real issue here and its not homo!@!uality....it is sin and the consequences of continuing to live in open rebellion while continuing to claim Christianity.<br />
As if this was not enough I will deal with the real issue here which is not homo$aulity but sin.
I was walking out of the homeless shelter and a friend of mine called me over to a man he was sharing the word with across the street. I could feel the Holy Spirit all over me. I had been inside preaching and praying for those who wanted it. You know when the Holy Spirit is working because their is a feeling of joy and warmth and overwhelming love all around you. When I reached the man I asked him his name and what he needed from God. His leg had been broken only a couple of days before and so he asked me to pray for his leg. I remember kneeling down and having an overwhelming sense of compassion for him to tears. I asked God to heal his leg for his glory and to reveal himself to this homless man. Two days later he went to get his leg checked and it was completely healed. They cut the cast off and he walked out of the hospital to the doctors dismay. I want to make it clear...it was nothing I did but only Christ Jesus through me.
Why do we believe this doesn't happen anymore? Ask yourself these questions...when was the last time I laid hands on someone and asked God for healing? When was the last time I laid my hands on a dead man and asked God to breath life back in him?...when was the last time I fed the homeless and regardless of how they smelled hugged them while you prayed for them?...when was the last time you shared the truth of salvation with someone?
We believe God for too little. When if we will just ask in faith he will give us a touch from heaven.
Interesting...Without one fact to back up his opinion ROH concludes the gay agenda is not at work in our churches. Where there is smoke there is fire and our churches are burning from the gay assault. The man who came to talk to the homless flew in from Los Angeles to speak. He was as close to death from AIDS as I have seen anyone and with tears in his eyes told the crowd of nearly 500 why the lifestyle was wrong and killing people. At dinner afterwards he explained in detail the gay group infiltrating the churches.
ROH says he laughes outloud at such a proposition...I cry for those who have died not knowing the truth. Sorry ROH you have no leg or truth or proof to stand on.
Not long ago I was in a homeless shelter feeding the homeless when a man who had aids stood up and began to speak. He spoke against the homo@#%ual lifestyle and warned those in the shelter not to fall prey to such a life. Later we took him to dinner and he began to explain to us about how the gay agenda plants their people in the church. They begin to show up in huge numbers and tithe. Eventually, they go to the pastor and tell him that they are gay and if he wants to continue to recieve their tithes he has to accept their lifestyle. This group is active he told us in all the major churches. Their goal? To bring down the church. He said that out of the many churches they had infiltrated almost all the pastors accepted their lifestyle.
I want to warn you that that is true on GodTube as well. You must defend and protect your belief and at the same time do it in love..
