If you surf unto the Lord,
could you call that
a "wave offering?"
Just worship God and Jesus now.
Amen. :)
(I added the following as a response, to a respose, to a video; but I didn't see it on the list; so I wanted to store it in memory here for at least a little while. I hope this blesses someone and touches someone's heart. God bless you. ...Background, the person said, "They were 'born' a Buddist." The following is done in love with a tender, compassionate heart and soul.)
I don't think anyone can be born a Christian, Buddist, Hindu, Catholic, Muslim, etc...from birth. Maybe what is meant is that they were brought up in that lifestyle or family, and followed that belief because their family or friend showed it to them. But, I believe it is a choice to follow what you believe; (and a "knowledge" to stay with it if you have found the actual truth). A more prominant issue is: "Are we born sinners?" I don't think we really need to debate this, because weather you believe one side of the issue or not, (there is an accurate answer; (see Romans)), once we have knowlege of a single sin we have commited, we are no longer concerned with weather or not we were born in sin; We are sinners now...and that must be dealt with. ...but how? I believe we have done things that have offended, upset, and hurt the God who loves us and gave us life. We can't get a pardon for an offence against someone, except from the one we have offended or disobeyed. We will stand before God and give an account of everything...and He will be just. Only God can pardon our wrongs against Himself. If we really wanted justice we'd be in for a painful destination. I think what we really want deep down is mercy. The Lord offers this through His Son, laying down His own lifeblood and paying the fine our wrongs against Himself deserve...That is true, undeserved grace...and it is evidence that God truely loves us so much, that He died in our place, and rose again defeating sin and death to reconcile all to himself who will place their trust in Him to save them. God is reaching his hand out to you right now; will you repent, take hold and receive Him?
"Finders Keepers." Not a typical philosophy for a Christian wouldn't you say? But what about this...? I got this Idea from looking a bookmark, that said, "Finders Keepers...Seek and you shall find."
Deuteronomy 4:29 (KJV) says, "But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul ." Do you get that? God is findable! He reveals himself to us. All are welcome and invited to come to him, but are we searching him out? Are we looking for him? Are we spending time with him? Do we know him?
I "sought" the LORD, and I "found" him. And he is "kept" in my heart forever. He is my greatest treasure and I am his. Jesus promises that he will ""Keep" us in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon him." He also says in John 10, (refering to us, his sheep,) that, "No one can snatch them out of my hand."
Yes, when we search for God with our whole heart and soul, He is found and we are kept in Him and He in us. I am never letting go of Him. I love Him so much. He is too valuable. My relationship with him is so precious.
So because I sought Jesus, and He is now (kept) in my heart, I want to say "Finders Keepers!"--LORD, I want you to stay in my life forever. I want to be with you forever. I love you God & Jesus. Thank you for dieing for me and riseing to give me Eternal Life. Please forgive my sins. I trust in you. Please dwell with me forever and guide me in the way you want me to go, and please mold me into the man you want me to be. Thank you for giveing me your Holy Spirit to make this possible. I want to live your way. Thank you LORD for "seeking" me and for "finding" me and for "Keeping" me. I love you Father; Amen.
Thank you LORD that you can say of me, "Finders Keepers." I love you.
