In God's Eye's

I wrote this a few years back but this is how I felt 26 years ago when I excepted Jesus as my savior. I had never experienced the kind of exceptance and love I did that night in my entire life. I'm still a work in progress but now I know I'm never alone, he's alway there.
My Lord, though my sins were many,
You did not forsake me,
You searched me out as your own,
When no one else cared,
When I asked , you entered my heart ,
You filled me with the light of your holiness,
You didn't hide me in a corner like a thing of shame,
You set me out like I was a shinning star,
You gave me your word,
So I could begin to know you.
You knew my heart was wounded,
So as the potter with his clay,
You shaped and molded my heart anew
Day by Day, gently with great care
You began to rebuild on a new foundation,
You gave me hope,
Where there only seemed hopelessness,
You gave me love and exceptance,
Where there had only been shame.
When the world gave me Judgement and condemnation,
You said my sins were forgiven and they were no more
You said that now I was a new creation in you,
You call me your friend and I call you my father,
He loves us just where we are,
He's always there waiting ,
All we need do is call his name,
