Yeah, I was agreeing with your comments and further saying that if Jesus instituted a mandatory baptism, that being saved would be more difficult through Christ than it was without Him (before Him). And that is not the case, except to those who beleive you have to be baptised in order to be saved. We both agree on the same thing.

and nevercompromise,im kinda confused at your view, but anyways, i am not saying we should not be baptized,romans 10:9 says 9That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. I do not see baptism mentioned in that anywhere,and i thought it was pretty straightforward. I am not saying we are not supposed to be baptized though, but that it is not a necessity for salvation. |

So how do you explain David. A man after God's own heart, being anointed king, and how many times did he sin? countless times but the point was that he had a heart for God and he repented. God used him mightily. Jimmy Swaggart repented and confessed, and God uses him mightily. What about Peter? He DENIED the MESSIAH 3 time. Did God not use him so powerfully?

So you are telling me that Pastor Benny Hinn has not confessed that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh? If you would have kept reading down a couple verses instead of just reading that one that makes it seem like you are right, you would have come across verse 2 and 3 which prove you wrong. also i have read chapter 28 of Isaiah and i feel the same way, Holy Spirit has confirmed as well. I suggest for you to get to know God more, He wants a relationship with you not just lip service. get to know Holy Spirit too, He is wonderful and He will show you amazing things. Oh and if you haven't repented, get to know Jesus as savior. I say all this in love. God bless |

I apologize about my not being able to reply 4 sooo long(it is explained on my page) (i will post replies on my page and on the poster of the comments page,for ease of reading)First of all, i will reply to soldier of Christ. I would like to start my reply by saying that what a lot of people do is to take little snippets of the Bible, and drag it way out of proportion,(not necessarily on purpose) as it appears you have done.A little advice for you is to go back and read the WHOLE chapter of Isaiah 28, and then if you still feel the same way about that scripture, let me know. And i do not believe that some of these people are the "Lords annointed",(not talking about everyone, just some), but i am just obeying the scripture in 1 John 4:1. You can look that up if you would like to, but i figured i would post it for you. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world. |

Well, Benny Hinn, (i wont even go there),Jimmy Swaggart, Would that be the one who was with a PROS$@@#UTE? I dont think someone who was with a pros$#!!ute while they were preaching (or not preaching)is a true man of God, but correct me if im wrong. |

Before Jesus's death we know that everyone who was saved was saved by faith alone. From Abraham to the thief on the cross. So what HolyGhost211 believes, suggests that it was easier to get saved before Jesus's death, than is to get saved now, because now it's faith + baptism. And before it was just FAITH. What's dangerous about a baptism debate is that it poses a position against baptism and I am all for baptism. But if a person in a helicopter over the ocean, see's one of the blades come flying off, and only then truely realizes what a miserable worm they are, repents and asks for forgiveness, are they not going to be saved because of the timing of their repentence? I know that if God had a choice between giving us mercy or giving us judgement, He would give us mercy. Would the guy on the chopper get to the the gate and be told, "good repentence,...but sorry...we see that you didn't have time to get baptized."? Given the opportunity, any believer from the OT or the thief on the cross, would have been baptized had it been requested by God. God would have told Moses: "#11, Get Baptized". The point is that if people have been saved without being baptized in the past, then it is possible for this to happen. And Jesus's death didn't make it harder for some poeple to be saved. The only requirement that has been mandatory from the beginning is FAITH. Having said that, if you are not baptized, go out and get baptized asap. Peace Out! |

Look I dont mean to insult you but to me you sound like the jehovah witnesses saying that the Holy GHost is not nessesary anymore and its all devilish now, not that you think baptism is devilish but to say that baptism is not nessasary for salvation(I dont know how to spell nessesary) is completly absurd, your sin has not been washed under the blood you may have the Holy Ghost brother but your sin has not been washed under the blood of Jesus Christ you have not taken your spiritual bath yet! and you cannot enter into heaven dirty. |

Acts 8:12 Acts 9:18 Acts 16:15 Acts 16:33 Acts 18:8 Acts19:5 Acts 22:16 Romans 6:3 Galations 3: 27 is that what peter said when the sinners asked him what they needed to do to be saved? did he say you should be baptized but its not nessasary? NO he COMMANDED THEM to be baptized, what are you saying? why dont you think you need to be baptized thats foolishness I dont see where it says baptizm is not nessasary all I hear is HE COMMANDED THEM TO BE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD |

Well thats a very good point, But you must also remember that Jesus didn't die yet nor did he send down the HolyGhost, Befor the death people were not baptized until john....now we dont know whether or not he was baptized unto johns baptizm but nevertheless Jesus saved one more man before his death because the man loved and believed. Even the prophet simion( I believe his name was) went to glory without the baptizm in Jesus name BECAUSE JESUS HADN'T BEEN GLORIFIED YET. Im not saying your the devil or that your not living right. But what I am going to say is, brother if you dont get baptized you did not follow Gods word you didn't obey |

also the Jehovah witnesses have( no disrespect) but have tried to throw out many blessings in the bible that come from following Jesus. They say you dont need the Holy Ghost anymore that its unnessisary but isnt that removing from the Word? go read revalation 22: 18-19 to see what happens when you take away from Gods Word. now to say we dont need baptsm is to say we are born without sin because to say we dont need baptism is to say we dont need cleansing, but Jesus commanded it and will not go back on his word I also gave you at least a half dozen scriptures saying you need baptizm so why not hear the word and be baptized? |

Actually brother,it's that which is born of flesh is flesh and that which is born of Spirit is Spirit.(no rudeness intended) But he asked can a man enter a second time into his mothers womb? and Jesus then said ABOUT THE SECOND BIRTH, except a man be born again of water and of Spirit, Brother what does being regularly born matter? obviously you must be naturally born, if your not then you cant be saved in the first place your salvation doesn't matter because you dont exist thats not waht the religious ruler wanted to know he wanted to know how can I be saved.So why would he have to say to this religious ruler he needs to be regularly born?no one said Jovan must be pushed through(thats me) that womb before he can be saved. I had to repent (Acts 2:38 again) and be BAPTIZED in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Thats why you must be baptized for the cancellation of that debt of sin its not for public display, we were born with sin on us brother born into sin we must have that washed away by the blood of the lamb and that can only come thorugh water baptizm in Jesus name David said in the book of psalms( I'll find it for you later) I was born in iniquity and in sin did my mother concieve me |
