   yup we sure have come a long way i like music alot there is nothing else i can think of that can move people the way music does i believe that God gives this tool to people to spread his word and if they dont use it thats to bad thats why i play guitar in the praise band at church and sing in the choir it's work but fun and worth it. thanks for droping me a note cool story i will be puting a video together of my own music soon YFIC M Mergener

I remember the first time I saw Petra. I was living in 1000 Oaks, CA. and attending a little church, Calvary Chapel. Every Saturday night unknown bands would come an play on a circuit that they had. The first I heard was called Petra. I had never heard of a Christian rock band and I was amazed at how good they were... a lot has changed since those days.. but the first place I ever heard Christian rock was in Grand Rapids when a brother broght a Larry Norman album... I did not think such a thing was possible (he may have been the first contempory Christian artist).. circa 1974.. we've come a long way baby!
