MattAttack's Blog
well, today i just had dj k over so we could meet as our band. reese, aloranor, and jacob were unable to come over. we just made lyrics for our first song. we decided to break the world record for longest song, that would be 69 minutes. and we also have a tune for another song of ours. all of this in only two official band meetings. im haveing EVERYONE over saturday to practice and to do our spanish project. you can see my channel on youtube (type in "iamcalledmatthew" and search channels) sorry for the self promotion, i am going to a film college and i would like to be noticed.
anyway, i just hope our band will praise God through our actions. we do not sing Christian songs, yet we are not bad or secular. i guess we would be a Christian band that doesnt sing Christian songs. we sing good songs, like not offensive ones. Ugh, this is so confusing!!! we make up our own lyrics and music so we dont sucker off anyone eles. umm....pray for our band not to go down a bad path and that we would do right.
by the way, our name is "Throwing Sandbags?!" (its lagit)
feb 12 is my birthday. thank you, thank you. i hope that i will grow closer with the Lord over this next year. that i will also be an efective too for God, and that my actions and words will bless other in the Holy Spirit. thank you. God bless!
just reacently, one of my friends father passed on. he died of a heart attack. no one knows how it happened, he was a perfectly healthy guy. i am happy to say he was a strong Christian; so i am glad of his final destination. he was my basketball coach in seventh grade. he died during church last wednesday.
its really hard on his four kids and wife. his work was the major income for the family. i pray his death will not put them in a finantial bind. his youngest(my friend) was very close to him, they were best friends. this part of my friends life is the worst time for someone to go through this. my friend is my age.
its also hard on a lot of kids at school. many of them had him as a basketball coach. the others that were not in basketball were good friends of his oldest son. i pray that this will not be too hard on anyone.
i hope this wont drive my friend down a dangerous path. he has a different way of expressing his feelings. i only hope this will strenghten the bond between him and his family and God. he needs your prayers very much.
i hpoe that you will pray for the family. i also pray for everyone who was affected; his family, friends, church, and basketball team.
this experience has opened my eyes to a truth. we have little time on this earth. God gives us time, so we aught to be good stewerds of it. "Life is but a vapor". no one knows when their time is. so if you are a Christian and reading this, please, im begging you, to witness to the lost, or they are codemed to an eternity in hell. even though every one deserves hell, it is very harsh to just stand by and watch good lives go there. if you are nt saved, i am also begging you to go to someone to lead you to Christ. i really dont know how to witness(we are reading "one thing you cant do in heaven" in study group), but i would right now.
just please remember the Harrison family in your prayers. God bless you all
this past week, one of my friends father has passed away. he was a perfectly healthy guy, yet he died of a heart attack. he died during church. i pray for my friend every day, hoping that this unfortunant event will not drive him down a road of destruction. he is also a weak Christian; i hope this experiance will strenghten the bond with the rest of his family and God. i hope you will pray for my friend. the power of prayer is as great as the power of the Lord. pray for comfort of the family, the comfort of our school, and for the hand of God in this situation. he was my basketball coach in seventh grade. i miss him. he was a nice guy.
this has really opened up my eyes. if you know me, it does not show on the outside, but my heart cries on the inside. know i know how precious life is and how easily it can be taken away. if you are not saved and are reading this right now, i beg that you will talk to someone about it. please.
