Once upon a time there was a very gifted scupltor.
At an very early age he demonstrated extra-ordinary artistic skills.
Then in his twenties he discovered who Jesus Christ was
and was born again.
But since he was a very young man,
and since he was somewhat naive,
he allowed his friends
who were none-believers
to take up most of his time. Instead of getting closer to the Lord via the word,
he wasted over 20 years of his life chasing the wrong carrots/pipe dreams, pie-in-the-sky opportunities,
etc instead of developing his craft.
Then at 45 through a dying friend he came to realize
that the Devil himself was behind all of the distractions.
He learned that the Devil was doing this in an attempt
to prevent the newly born again christian from becoming
an instrument of God.

So he made the decision to dedicate the remainder of his life
developing the gifts that God gave him.
It required a leap of faith from him.
He decided that since he had tried the "carrot-chasing strategy" that brought him nothing
that he had "nothing to lose by listening to his calling".
His friends thought he was nuts.
His wife could not understand him.
And his family thought he fell off the deep end.
Still, he kept developing his craft till that day
when a collection of his works
were finally exposed in a museum.
The theme of the collection
"In Touch" was a representation
of God, Christ and the Holy Spirit
holding/carrying the spirit of different people
at different points in their lives.
I will only tell you about the first one.

The first sculpture "When I first saw you" was a poignant representation
of God himself, holding a man, who is holding his wife who is holding a new-born.
The eyes of the child are staring not only at the mother and the father
but at the Lord who is in awe of the newborn just as the parents .

The mother's face streams with joyful tears; but upon examination of her tears and the tears of the
sculpted God image, one could see an exact similarity between both.
I concluded that what she thought as being her tears,
were not just her tears, but were also Gods'.
Then I asked myself why would God be crying?
But more importantly I asked
myself how, how could
any man or sculptor could come up with such an idea?
And then I realized that maybe the idea was not his idea at all.
Maybe it was Gods' idea and the Holy Spirit had somehow slipped
this image into the mind of the artist until that day when
the sculptor transferred what was in his mind onto the slab of marble.

As I looked at the mothers' face, and then I looked at Gods' face
I was compelled to lower myself until I was at the same level as that of a child.
The expression of the child was that of complete selfless, unconditinal love.
It seemed as if the child already knew how much he was already loved
and for what reason his birth had come to pass.

He was the Saviour aka Jesus Christ..
Without realizing it, I fell to my knees and I began confessing
in front of strangers; and as I did this, the sun came breaking through the clouds and into
the stain-glassed windows of the museum with a light that illuminated both me and the sculpture .
I realized that everything that I had ever thought as important
was not as important as his birth, his life, and for whom he made the sacrifice.
As the tears streamed down my face
I could feel a hand on my shoulder; then I felt a second hand and then a third as something very heavy
was being lifted from my heart.

When I turned I saw the sculptor kneeling beside me
and in his eyes held a message:
"I never forgot and I will never forget
any lamb who is brave enough, who is wise enough, but most of all, humble enough to come to me.."
If you do a search Michael Di Rienzo songs you will be able to listen for free many of my recordings; some of which were recorded in a studio and some in my home studio.
The overall lyrical and strong structures are strong
and my singing playing has improved over the years.
In the next 12months I plan to dramatically improve my singing skills and to promote this body of songs inspired by the holy spirit.
While listening to the songs, if you feel compelled to support the project, you can download at the links below.
If you want to get involved or if you know a professional who could be interested in developing this collection to the next level then write to me.
