Joy down in my heart

Yesterday during church I took the little ones to the back. I began to teach them a children's song my hubby and I used the hear the children sing where we met.
The song says: I've got the joy, joy, joy, down in my heart (where?) down in my heart, down in my heart to stay. And if the devil doesn't like it, he could sit on a tack (ouch!) sit on a tack (ouch!) (repeated)
As I sat there teaching them the song, I was just amazed at their laughter and excitment.
They were full of giggles and smiles, not one care in the world! The faith of a child is extraordinary. They KNOW they are cared for, they KNOW they will be fed, they KNOW they are loved, they KNOW they are protected, they just KNOW! They trust with all their heart that mommy and daddy will come through.
We as children of God should have the same faith, the same assurance that God will see us through, provide for us, love us, protect us, and be with us. Our hearts should continually sing the same song. The joy of the Lord is everlasting.
And guess what the devil can do if he doesn't like it?!
Let us have the faith of a child and the joy in our heart always!
