Okay, so this last weekend I had the pleasure of going to my oldest daughters Vocal Recital. She is 11 years old and just a beautiful girl. I believe my husband and I have our hands full. She was the only vocalist there, the others were playing the piano. What a breathe of fresh air, no offense to the young and talented piano playing, but to hear a vocal that was refreshing. Now, she sang 3 songs, the first was "Eidleweiss" (s/p?), the second was "Part of your World" and the third was "Someone's watching over me". The first 2 were a little tough for Emily, they were sung in Soprano pitch, which my daughter, by no means, is a Soprano, she is Alto all the way, so they seemed a little strenious. But the third song...WOW! She blew everyone away. She was able to pick one song she wanted to sing and she picked the PERFECT song for her. Everything about was incredible.
