How would you like...?

Posted on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 07:23PM.

How would you like to be remembered after you die? What would you like said at your funeral? Whom would you like to speak?

Katrina's answer:

Remember me with a strong conviction to be honest and integral. Born and created sensitive, realistic, persistent, hopeful.

She became a teen mom and in her 20's pursued her life's dreams with her husband and children, by her 30's she was living out her dreams and impacting lives across the world without the intentions of being in the lime light. Her 40's reflect the world's awakening to the beginning of her childrens legacy while her famous husband added a new broadcasting studio to the house.

Her 50's were filled with "Grandma firsts"

I plan to live longer but I ran out of thought - to be continued....

What's your answer...

Just a few interest and traveling the world...

Posted on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 07:14PM.

There's a number of things. I like being on the internet. I like being able find out anything my little heart desires. I like being out in the sun too. Somehow it affects the hormone levels in your brain and it seems to do wonders for me so doing outdoor activities are good for me. I do a lot of reading. I read everything around me. Mu husband always asks "How did you know that?" I'll tell him that I read it somewhere or there was a sign or poster about it, etc. I thinks it's more about passing time than anything... like when you have to stand in line some where. It's been awhile since I've read any stories from a book that is. I'm enjoying myself reading profile stories and emails. It's a way of traveling the world until I can physically do it(which is in my plans).

Who knew I was going to be homschooling?

Posted on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 07:10PM.

I was born in the Philippines because of my dad being in the Air Force but I don't remember a thing. We've moved back when I was 6 mo. My mother says she loved it over there. It's hot and she wore dresses every day.

Anyway, I moved around from state to state until I was about 7 yr.old. I've stayed in California since.

I married my husband 11 yr. ago when I was 18. We married young. aaah, I can imagine all the people who attended must have thought that they were looking at a very young wedding party. We went on a 7 day cruise to the Carribean Islands. Now we have 5 children and are still getting used to being a big family. I have only 1 girl of the bunch. And of course she's the princess. Sometimes I have to warn her that she's acting like the "Queen of Hearts" just to lighten things up when she's upset.

I know.. I know.. who knew I was going to be homeschooling and homemaking. I was going to climb the ladder to success!I found that ladder had someone else name on it. LOL

I have 4 boys and 1 girl. We wanted to have another girl until we ended up with 5 total. that was enough trying. I think it is awesome that you sew. I do not have a machine so sewing takes ages but I do enjoy just because I've created something.

Just a little bit about my location...and you?

Posted on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 06:52PM.

I live in the San Fransisco Bay Area and it's warm and sunny. It's not always like that but I'm enjoying it for now. I'm really close to the water so when it's foggy, I can hear the tug boats outside.

I used to be caught up in just staying right where I am but the cost of living is so high that I'm considering other places now. The thing is i don't anything about anywhere else. Funny eeh? Tell me what it's like over there.

Let's see it's a multi-culture area, and there's a new awareness about going "GREEN"

What else do you want to know?

Brining a Turkey for the Holidays

Brining a Turkey

Materials: salt, water, sugar, seasonings, and enough room to refrigerate it, a container large enough to hold your turkey and enough brine to cover it. Whatever container you choose the turkey needs to have enough room to be turned so it should be big.

Putting it all together: To make the brine, mix 1 cup of table salt in 1 gallon of water. You will need more than 1 gallon of water but thatâs the ratio. Make sure that the salt is completely dissolved before adding the seasonings you like, making sure not to add anything that contains salt. Brines may be spicy, or savory, or sweet, honey and brown sugar. Sugar is optional to any brine. If you feel you may have made it too sweet just add pepper. Add up to 1 cup of sugar per gallon of brine. Like the salt you need to make sure that the sugar is completely dissolved.

Turkey..meet..Brine: Place the turkey in a container and pour in enough brine to completely cover the turkey with an inch or two to spare. The whole thing goes in the refrigerator. Now making enough room in the refridgerator may be hard. A cooler big enough to hold your turkey makes a good container for your turkey and brine. The cooler will help keep it cool. The turkey should sit in the brine for about 1 hour per pound of turkey.

Time to cook: When time is up and ready to cook, take the Turkey out of the brine mixture and season as normal. Cook your Turkey as in the past. The end result will be a delicious moiste Turkey with all your favorite flavors tossing in your mouth.
