A young brother at 16 years old seeking God for the gift of the Holy Ghost, coming out of a life of sin and satan. One who USED to smoke cigarettes USED to chase women USED to be all about his boys USED to swear and curse USED to say the Lord wasnt real USED to believe the bible was hypocritical, was now down on his knees with a smile on his face joy in his heart with no energy left calling on the name of JESUS! to change his life and fill him with the Holy Ghost and the Lord did just that! he danced he spun he spoke in other languages as the Spirit gave him utterance he sweated out everything but all that sunday night long he smiled and praised Jesus Christ for saving his soul that night God is good. Hey it's me again. I was talking to my father today about how some people don't believe it is essential to be baptized in Jusus Name. Let me share it with you what I believe the Spirit showed us this. Jesus himself came as an example of how we are supposed to live. In Matt 3 13-17 Shows even Jesus himself was water baptized. And if Jesus was baptized with water how much more should we be water baptized also! 13: Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. 14: But John forbad him, saying, I hve need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15:And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16: And Jesus, when he was baptixed, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him; 17: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hey Jo, You can try to go back and forth with people who don't believe in being obedient to the gospel. But I think it would be more profitable for you to speak to someone who doesn't know Jesus rather someone believing false doctoring. Just Pray for them. We know the Apostle Peter knew the importance of not only repentance, but also being baptized in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Examples also found in Acts 8:12, Romens 6:3-4, Acts 10:47-48, Acts 19:5, Acts 22:16 God Bless |

same here i may come across as being like rude or w/e but its not personal(same thing every post). so anyways, did u not read the verses? do u not see how to be saved? we are saved through CHRIST, not baptism. if u think baptism saves then u need to go read those scriptures again. we are NOT SAVED THROUGH BATISM BUT THROUGH JESUS CHRIST! in the Bible we see that people were baptized as salvation and paul corrects them and has them be re-baptised after they have been saved, as they thought they were saved because of their baptism. read the Bible and see it is JESUS who saves us, not baptism! again, read what is commonly referred to as the Roman's Road. i posted them below and apparently u didnt read them, and those were only a few. Romans 10:9-13 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.(no baptism) 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.(again, w/o baptism) 12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved(again, the LORD, NOT BAPTISM!)also Romans 5:8-21 to name a few. |

hey, im back! anyways, here are some scriptures on salvation I found that do not mention baptism as being necessary for salvation. the first one is too long to post so the reference is Romans 5:8-21. nowhere in there do i see baptism as what saves us. second, Romans 10:9-13 i think is the totally clear way to show someone how to be saved, and nowhere do we see baptism, ill post it below. 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. now, those are pretty clear on salvation, and i dont see baptism anywhere there. now, im not rejecting baptism, Jesus said to be baptized, but im saying that baptism is not necessary for salvation. if i were to die tonight, im still going to heaven even though I have not been baptized. |

basically the point i was trying to get across was that baptism is not necessary for salvation. we see so many scriptures about salvation, and none mention baptism as a necessity for salvation. that was all i was saying, because you were saying that i must be baptized in order to be saved, but that is not what the scripture says. |

all im saying is that baptism is not necessary for salvation. im not saying we should not be baptized, im saying that i am not going to be rejected my salvation because i have not been baptized. if i die tonight im still going to heaven, and i have not been baptized. now, if u say that that is not true, then i point u to when Jesus was crucified. when the thief on his side believed, Jesus told him that he would be with him in paradise. now, where do we see anywhere Jesus saying, "you must be baptized, and then u will be with me in paradise. now, i didnt see that. so, here we see an example from Jesus himself, where a man recieved salvation w/o being baptized. let me know what u think. |

sorry, i was having trouble with my computer so thats why i posted a few times. i wasnt doing that to like annoy u or sumpthin, it was a problem with my computer. anyways, well, i dont agree with you on that subject, but i guess there is no way to convince you that a card trick (by the way, i dont just do card tricks, i was using that as an example of something that does not appear anywhere near demonic. by the way, i do tell people that these are just tricks)is not bad, but anyways, to anser your question, no i have not been baptized in water. now, that does not mean that im not a christian, if u believe that then i will gladly talk with you on that. |

no, i dont mind. i grew up in a pentecostal church, but now i attend a sothern baptist church. anyway, so, are u saying that when i do a card trick i am having to do with demonic activity??????????? i think some magicians (dont want to mention any names) CRISS ANGEL whoops!!!!!!. have a demonic appearence(just watch the intro to his show)anyways, but that doesnt mean when someone does an illusion that it is bad. like i said, they are great witnessing tools. look at the coke can illusion on this site. now, was that demonic? no, a youth pastor used a simple trick in his sermon as an illlistration. now, i see no problem with doing illusions, as long as they are used to glorify God. u said u have never seen it. well, heres the one i have posted on, http://www.godtube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=b5ac58fef328be0acadf right, i am not saying that this is a devil, im saying i believe it is the power of the mind. now, ur right, there is nothing wrong with enjoying Jesus, but there is something wrong with this. this is not of Jesus. where is this in the Bible. that's the problem, not in the Bible!!!! i have seen this lead people away from the Lord, that is one reason why i am against it. and of course, it NOT in the Bible!!!!!!!! now, i did some research about your denomination,(i dont agree with some of it, but that is a later discussion lol) and you are run apparently all by scripture, and this aint in it!!!!!!!!!!! i am not counting them down, im saying what is happening is not of God. im not saying that it is of the devil, im just saying it aint God. i have checked the spirit as you keep saying, and this aint of God. i repeat, not in the Bible (ur denomination i believe would agree with me on this as they are ony run on the Bible and this again i hate to be repetative but this isnt in it. anyway, all for now |

okay, there seems to be a misunderstanding. i am not talking about dancing, i dont know how u thought that it what i was referring to. good point about the baptism, i never thought about that. now, again im not referring to dancing, but slain in the spirit, drunk in the spirit, shaking under the power, those kinds of things. let me know. now, that is why i sometimes refer to myself as an illusionist. now, is being an illusionist bad? (i would just like to point out it is a great witnessing tool) again i think thereis a misunderstanding, i have no problem with dancing. (except i stink) anyways, read above to se what im referring to. now, i am not trying to replicate the holy spirit, im going to replicate the above, which i dont believe is the holy spirit. im trying to replicate it to show that it can be done. wat i mean is, the main thing i have come across here and elsewhere is that when people talk about it, they always say something to the effect of, "if you could experience it, then you would know that it is real.",. or something like that. so, i just intend to show that these experiences can be replicated with the power of the mind, as the reason most people believe in this is because they cannot explain it, so im helping explain it to them. |

sorry, i tend to do that sometimes. if i do, dont take it personally, i just get a little distracted if you will. so anyways, i am not referring to speaking in tongues, as i recieved that many years ago. a am referring to the "GE' s. so, where is all that in scripture? also, i noticed something while looking at ur page, u said u were baptized in Jesus' name. now, i am guessing u believe in the oneness doctrine, (just a guess, i dont know much when it comes to that stuff, i found out bout the oneness doctrine on GodTube as a matter of fact. anyways, i also believe the way u were baptized is different than the bible. in the KJV (i checked ur verson lol) it says "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY GHOST.": now, that was pretty clear to me. maybe im wrong, as i try to stay with things i am pretty sure about, like the "GE's, but i read that one pretty clearly. please respong bout the "Ge's. Yes I am, baptized in Jesus name July 13, 03 Holy Ghost filled Feb 19, 04. Both my children were both filled and baptized in 04 also. Praise the Lord! |
