Our Five Main Purposes in Life According to God:
Deuteronomy 6:5, 10:12, 11:13, 11:22, 13:3, 19:9, 30:6, 30:16, 30:20, Exodus 20:3-6. Joshua 22:5, Matthew 22:37 and Mark 12:30
ONE - Love God
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Matthew 22:39, Mark 12:31, Romans 12:9, 13:8, 1 Corinthians 13:1-3, Ephesians 5:2, Colossians 1:8, Phillipians 2:3, John 15:12-13, 1 John 3:16, 1 Peter 1:22.
TWO - Love Others
Love your neighbor as yourself.
Matthew 22:36-40
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
1 Corithians 13:13
There are three things that will endure-faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love.
THREE - Become More Like Jesus Christ
I Peter 2:21, Galatians 2:20, Romans 12:1, John 13:15, Ephesians 4:15, Ephesians 5:2, 1 Corinthians 11:1, 1 John 2:6, Mark 8:35, John 10:27, Romans 8:29
Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.
For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.
FOUR - Witness - Share Your Faith
Acts 1:8, Acts 8:4, Acts 11:15, Acts 14:21, Acts 20:24, Romans 1:16, Romans 10:15, Galatians 2:7, Ephesians 3:7, Colossians 1:6, 1 Thessalonians 2:2, 2 Timothy 1:8, Matthew 24:14, Mark 8:35, Mark 13:10, Mark 16:15, Revelation 14:6.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.âÂÂ
And then he told them, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere.
So you must never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord.
FIVE - Serve Others
Matthew 20:26-28, Matthew 23:11, Matthew 25:21, Mark 9:35, Mark 10:43-45, Luke 22:26, Romans 15:8, 1 Corinthians 9:19, Galatians 1:10, John 13:4-15, 1 Corinthians 12.
For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many."
But among you it should be quite different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant,
The greatest among you must be a servant.
The master was full of praise. `Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let's celebrate together!'
He sat down and called the twelve disciples over to him. Then he said, "Anyone who wants to be the first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else."
Remember that Christ came as a servant
.
Jhn 13:4 So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist,
Jhn 13:5 and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel he had around him.
Jhn 13:6 When he came to Simon Peter, Peter said to him, "Lord, why are you going to wash my feet?"
Jhn 13:7 Jesus replied, "You don't understand now why I am doing it; someday you will."
Jhn 13:8 "No," Peter protested, "you will never wash my feet!" Jesus replied, "But if I don't wash you, you won't belong to me."
Jhn 13:9 Simon Peter exclaimed, "Then wash my hands and head as well, Lord, not just my feet!"
Jhn 13:10 Jesus replied, "A person who has bathed all over does not need to wash, except for the feet,[fn2] to be entirely clean. And you are clean, but that isn't true of everyone here."
Jhn 13:11 For Jesus knew who would betray him. That is what he meant when he said, "Not all of you are clean."
Jhn 13:12 After washing their feet, he put on his robe again and sat down and asked, "Do you understand what I was doing?
Jhn 13:13 You call me `Teacher' and `Lord,' and you are right, because it is true.
Jhn 13:14 And since I, the Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other's feet.
Jhn 13:15 I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you.
1Cr 12:4 Now there are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but it is the same Holy Spirit who is the source of them all.
1Cr 12:5 There are different kinds of service in the church, but it is the same Lord we are serving.
1Cr 12:6 There are different ways God works in our lives, but it is the same God who does the work through all of us.
1Cr 12:7 A spiritual gift is given to each of us as a means of helping the entire church.
